Don’t believe The People!

Warning! The following pieces of speculation are real – from the Sunday newspapers this New Year’s Eve, yet we are willing to bet you would not have dreamt some of these up… Yet somehow professional ‘journalists’ get paid to sit on their arses in an office and think of the most sensational yet unrealistic rumours you could ever imagaine. Yes they get paid to do this, proabably in between playing their shiny new version of FM07.

So here goes, Liverpool are today linked with:

Lucas Neill – Ongoing, looks a done deal, fair enough. Apparently though we face competition from relegation threatened West Ham and defence-short Newcastle, oh right, he’ll not choose us then!

Matthew Upson – Ongoing again, not likely though in our opinion. He’d cost 6 million apparently. Like Rafa would waste that much on a Birmingham player… Oh actually, coming to think of it!

David Villa – Doubt it, money too high and Rafa’s denied it. But now it’s claimed Valencia want Pepe Reina in a cash exchange. Great, we’ll play with no keeper and 3 up front, sorted.

And finally, the best one of all from – again – The People; “Liverpool are set to make a bid for David Beckham on the back of the proposed takeover of the Anfield club by Dubai International Capital.”

All I want to know is how to get one of these ‘jobs’ and if I can get a job description like ‘Professional Bullshit Manufacturer’.

Happy New Year Folks!
