AFC Liverpool begin life with a draw

Newly formed AFC Liverpool began life with a credible 1-1 draw against St Helens Town, in front of approximately 600 fans. AFCL claimed a share of the spoils courtesy of a goal from the penalty spot by Martin Crowder.

AFC Liverpool were founded by Alun Parry earlier this year and will play in the Vodkat League Division 2 this coming season. They have been backed by Liverpool FC, with the club even dedicating a one hour documentary on the club this Friday (8pm, LFC TV)

AFCL are keen to emphasise they are not against LFC, but more as a “grassroots addition to Liverpool FC”.
