This weekend has felt like one of them boring summer ones with no football, lets face it, internationals are hardly anything to shout about. The only thing on most supporters’ mind is hoping none of our players will pick up an injury.

With Yossi Benayoun picking up an injury for Israel after 3 weeks out already, there are reports of another injury.

HyypiaFinnish media report Sami Hyypia suffered knee ligament damage in Finland’s 2-0 win over Wales on Saturday. He is expected to miss their international with Norway on Wednesday, although it is hoped it is nothing serious and won’t face long on the sidelines.

Setanta Sports report Hertha Berlin will only sign forward Andriy Voronin if they achieve Champions League qualification for next season. They lost 2-0 at Stuttgart in their last outing before the international break, cutting their lead at the top of Bundesliga to one point – the top 3 finishers qualify for Europe’s top competition.

The Ukranian will be in action for his country at Wembley on Wednesday night when they take on England in a World Cup qualifier.

JusticeOff the pitch there was further bad news for Anne Williams in her continued battle for Justice for her son Kevin who died at Hillsborough almost 20 years ago. Anne’s case has been refused by the European Court of Human Rights. She is expected to release a full statement soon.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed the Foreign Office are to work with Liverpool supporters in improving the experience for football fans traveling abroad.

Elsewhere, Sky Sports report full back Stephen Darby will be offered a new contract by the club soon.

And Liverpool legends turned out in memory of supporter Bobby Wilcox on Sunday in a fitting tribute to the Reds number 1 fan – the match ended in a 2-1 win for the team of legends featuring Grobbelaar, Neal, Kennedy, Whelan, Molby, Johnson, Fairclough, Gayle and Thompson.
