Ex-Red Keane looks to Europe

Former Liverpool striker Robbie Keane will return to Anfield this Sunday in the final game of the season with only one thing on his mind ‘“ claiming three points for Tottenham and helping them into a Europa League (UEFA Cup) spot.

Spurs must get victory against the Reds this weekend and hope that Fulham lose to Everton at Craven Cottidge to edge into the Premier League‘s qualification places for the Europa League.

Keane left Liverpool in January after just six months on Merseyside, returning to White Hart Lane.

“There is a chance and we’re more than capable of going anywhere and getting three points,” he said.

Fulham have had a tremendous season. It’s going to be tough, we know that, but we’ll concentrate on what we have to do and hopefully Fulham will slip up.

“It’s been an up and down season for everyone but we’re still pushing for Europe so in the end it’s been okay but we want to push on. Next season will be a massive season for us.”

Liverpool vs Tottenham kicks off at 4pm this Sunday, 24th May.
