Insua ‘“ there’s still a job to do on Sunday

Liverpool full-back Emiliano Insua isn’t looking to the Reds’ title chances for next season just yet, wanting to make sure the current campaign ends on a high note this Sunday against Tottenham.

The Reds may have missed out on the title and already secured second place, but they will be looking to get maximum points at home to Spurs to extend their Premier League points tally to 86 ‘“ already a club record.

The 20-year-old Argentine says, “We cannot be feeling sorry for ourselves because we still have one more game to go and if we win it we will have 86 points, which will be a record for us in the Premier League.

“The fans will also be wanting us to win and we have to try to do that.

“If we can win against Tottenham then it will be a good way to end this season and it will also keep our run going which is important for next season.”

Liverpool vs Tottenham gets underway at 4pm this Sunday, 24th May.
