As previously revealed, Liverpool are currently undergoing huge restructuring of their coaching staff.

Already confirmed to be leaving are reserve team manager Gary Ablett, academy director Piet Hamberg, youth team coaches Hughie McAuley (under 18’s) and Dave Shannon (under 16’s).

The full extent of the restructuring has been revealed over the weekend, with 16 staff reported to be leaving this summer.

Here’s the list of staff leaving, thus far Gary Ablett’s position has been taken by John McMahon, and Piet Hamberg has been replaced by Jose Segura.

Gary Ablett – Reserve Team Manager
Piet Hamberg – Academy director
Hugh McAuley – Under 18’s coach
Dave Shannon – Under 16’s coach
Paul Lever – Under 14’s coach
Billy Stewart – Academy goalkeeper coach
Norman Gard – Player liason officer
Tim Divine – Education officer
John Wright – Masseur & reserves kitman
Victor Salinas – Physio
Gerard Nus – Fitness coach
Angel Vales – Sports scientist
Simon Farnworth & John Coburn- Academy physios
Jan De Koning – Assistant academy director
Tim Dittmar – Academy goalkeeper coach

Also leaving, of course, is chief executive Rick Parry.

Former players Gary McAllister and Kenny Dalglish have both been heavily linked with a return to Anfield in some capacity as part of the restructuring process.
