Contrary to reports earlier in the day, Liverpool winger Yossi Benayoun does travel with the Reds squad to Italy for tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Fiorentina.

It is understood the Israeli midfielder is carrying a leg injury picked up during the Reds’ 6-1 victory over Hull City on Saturday, but could recover to play in time.

However Javier Mascherano is definitely confirmed as out of tomorrow’s game with a tight hamstring. It has previously been reported the Argentine skipper was suffering from flu.

The club’s official web site confirms the squad that has flown to Italy as: Reina, Cavalieri, Johnson, Skrtel, Carragher, Kyrgiakos, Aurelio, Insua, Lucas, Spearing, Plessis, Kuyt, Gerrard, Voronin, Torres, Babel, Riera, Benayoun.

Fiorentina vs Liverpool gets underway at 7.45pm tomorrow (Tuesday) night and is live on Sky Sports.
