Line-up vs Lyon: Johnson out, Kelly starts

Rafa Benitez has made several changes to the side which lost to Sunderland on Saturday.

Full back Glen Johnson appears to have picked up an injury, meaning a full debut for academy graduate Martin Kelly, usually a centre back, at right back. Unless Benitez chooses to play Carragher right back and Kelly in the middle, which is highly unlikely.

Also out of the side go Martin Skrtel, Fabio Aurelio, Jay Spearing and Ryan Babel.

David Ngog looks set to lead the attack, with Kuyt, Gerrard and Benayoun behind him. Javier Mascherano is recalled into midfield.

Liverpool: Reina, Kelly, Carragher, Agger, Insua, Mascherano, Lucas, Kuyt, Benayoun, Gerrard, Ngog.
Subs: Subs: Cavalieri, Skrtel, Dossena, Babel, Voronin, Spearing, Darby.

    No worries, so far Kelly has looked solid. I have always liked him. Also, it is good to see that rafa is putting a little faith in our youngsters for once even though it is rare. Fabio has looked up for it this first half, he is top notch when hes up for it. come on u reds.

    Am still insisting if Rafa start Lucas than we have nothing to play but only defeat and that what has happened . Go Mr. Rafa put him again on Sunday game against Man U . It will the same results .

    Why the like of Bable , Vironin , on bench and why u change Benayoun who was having a very good game instead of Lucas to come out .

    Rafa , pls let us see good list of players not very young players to start the game .
