Glen Johnson and Fernando Torres have both been passed fit for today’s crunch clash with Man United at Anfield.

Captain Steven Gerrard however is not fit and isn’t in the squad, his place will be taken by Fabio Aurelio, with Yossi Benayoun behind Torres up front.

Michael Owen is on the bench, Berbatov and Rooney start up front for the Mancs.

    brilliant to see torres again showing some of his former magic, great goal and wonderfully taken sir. i bet stevie feels a bit better knowing he was not needed today and team won, was great to see team play with huge passion. but please lose insua he was shocking again!!! never seen such a bad slow and uninspiring player as him in a red shirt.
