Carragher – Reds must forget titles battle with Man Utd

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher says although it may pain him to see Manchester Utd go ahead of the club on league titles, the Reds must forget about that record and concentrate on winning the title in their own time.

Whilst the Reds haven’t won for almost 20 years, their arch rivals from down the M62 could go ahead of the Reds in number of league titles won if they claim their 19th this season.

Carragher says, “I fear not winning the title more than seeing United go above us in title wins.

“Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to see them going above the record we’ve held for a long time, but we can’t keep holding on to that record and looking into the past.

“We have to do it ourselves rather than hope Manchester United don’t win it.”
