Bugger. That’s the last thing we needed. The yanks WILL have to dip into their pockets in Jan. But watch, we’ll end up with a cut price striker. I’d prefer to take someone on loan till end of season, then have a proper shop in the summer, as Jan very rarely gets you a good striker, because if their that good why are the other club selling.

we need a good striker
Apart from Torres and Gerrard, we lack finishing power this season. Yossi has been good but we need a striker who can finish.
I heard a rumour Upson’s coming to Anfiled to bolster our defence which is good if true
now another decent midfield and a good quality striker is needed IMO

El ninos injury is not a hernia as is being reported. (According to Sky)it is thought to be a minor groin niggle which can clear with 10 days rest.
Regardless of that, our squad is average at best, our first fit 11 can beat anyone…come jan we have to add 1 or 2 quality additions!

Sure Rafa told us in the summer that we have enough fire power in Voronin, Kuyt & Babel and that is why we did not need another striker. Also that Voronin was one of the best strikers in Germany. So what are we all worried for?

couldn’t agree more Jonathan, Rafa was shopping for players last summer as though Gerard and Torres will be fit for ever. this is why I question Rafa ability to win the league.
