Liverpool Reserves continued their impressive run of form with a resounding 4-1 victory over Hull City Reserves at Prenton Park tonight.

John McMahon’s side have now won their last eight games in a row and tonight looked very impressive as they cruised past the visitors in a cold night on the Wirral.

Alex Kacaniklic’s ball across goal to David Amoo to finish expertly got the ball rolling shortly before half-time, with first half chances also falling to Steven Irwin, Nathan Eccleston and Dani Pacheco.

Just two minutes into the second half Eccleston doubled Liverpool Reserves’ lead by finish off a great run from Pacheco.

Minutes later Pacheco saw a long shot of his own hit the post, before Amoo got his second of the game when he beat Hull keeper Mark Oxley on the second attempt after a great run forward from midfield by Pacheco.

Amoo then turned provider as he crossed the ball across to Nikola Saric to score Liverpool’s fourth of the night.

The Reds had also kept the Tigers at bay for the whole game with the visitors getting hardly a sight of goal. That was, until, the final minute when Tom Cairney converted a penalty.

Liverpool Reserves: Martin Hansen, Emmanuel Gomis Mendy, Stephen Darby, Steven Irwin, Daniel Ayala, Robbie Threlfall, Alex Kacaniklic (Chris Buchtmann 78), Nikola Saric (Victor Palsson 60), David Amoo, Nathan Eccleston, Daniel Pacheco. Unused subs: Dean Bouzanis, Nicolaj Kohlert, Jordy Brouwer.

TIA Man of the Match: Dani Pacheco – this boy is going to do great things for our club, in time.
