Arrivederci Dossena as Napoli prepare January swoop

Seria A side Napoli could be set to swoop for out of favour Liverpool left-back Andrea Dossena in the January transfer window, according to the player’s agent.

Doessena, 28, has failed to make a consistent breakthrough to the first team since arriving at Anfield from Udinese for £7million, making just 17 appearances for the club.

Now Roberto La Floria, Dossena’s agent, says Napoli are looking to fill their left-back position and Dossena has attracted attention from them.

He says, “It is clear that in January Napoli will sign new players, especially in the role of Dossena.

“We’ll see in January if there are opportunities to return to Italy and play – we are interested because Dossena wants to go to the World Cup.

“Napoli is the Italian team that has pushed most for Dossena and according to me it would be the perfect solution for him.”

    Wake up people what makes you think any money raised will go on new
    players.
    More likely G&H are going to use it to pay off their debts or to pay wages
    for the current squad. The only money they have ever spent as been the
    CL qualification money approx 20 mill a year whilst only spending approx
    16.6 mill a year on average.The gate receipt’s should pay the wages.
    As for sponsorship/ TV money and money raised from merchandise well
    thats going to pay off their debts aswell.
    In short we need new owners and quick.
