Rafa’s post-match reaction

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has chosen to focus on the positives this evening despite the Reds exiting the Champions League.

The Reds went out of the competition after Fiorentina’s 1-0 victory over Lyon in Italy, despite beating Hungarian side Debrecen 1-0 in Budapest.

Despite the disappointing news, Benitez is happy with the win and is adamant his side will be back playing Champions League football next season by finishing in the top four in the Premier League.

He said, “We had to do our job today. Our job was to win and we won but we couldn’t control the other game.

“To win today was the only thing we could do and we played well, with four or five clear chances.

“The main thing is to be ready for the next match, we have an important game on Sunday.”

“I am 100 per cent sure we will finish in the top four. The team will play well when all the players are available so I am sure we will finish in the top four.”

    this have to be the formation when the all players will be fit:
    Reina,Johnson,Aurelio,Caragher,Agger,Skrtel,Aquilani,Mascherano,Beanyoun,Gerrard and Torres, also I think the players like Lucas,Insua need more time to improve themeselvs,Babel,Riera can be next to first team

    Prime Newton after reading this I realised That one day a chimpanzee will type the entire works of shakespear.
    As I recall correctly, last season he relied on Sunderland and many other teams to beat Manu so Liverpool could get a chance at winning the league…end result failed!

    So Sunderland shouldnt be beating the mancs because they dont need the points themselves and they dont compete in the prem themselves its there job to try and beat everyone. Unlike some teams who rest players when visiting Old Toilet and basically roll over for Slur Alex.
    So if any thing because we beat the mancs 2 times last season it’s more about them getting favours from a few ex manc managers and a some arse kissers like Fat Sam and Happy Harry. Oh and dont forget players like Phil Nevile did you see his face when Everton beat the Mancs in the FA Cup last season. A true Manc Fan.

    Well said!!! sack rafa, then capello, mourinho….will jump on this occasion, and the americans will inject millions in the club, will built the biggest stadium of europe, will get the best player around….man return on earth sack rafa will bring more instability than we have actually…so think twice

    Now I want someone to come to me and say Title Race’s Not Over Yet ! CL is not over yet ! Thinking like that got us to the place we stand now . WHEN THE HELL ARE WE GOING TO STOP WITH THE POSITIVE THINKING ?!?!?! We played good last season last season last season … we are WEAK , Weakest since many years . I laughed that stupid positives when after 4 games were saying that noting was over , laughed again at 8 games past , and now I’ll hit him in the face if someone tells this again .
