The month of November saw Liverpool eliminated from the Champions League and one of the toughest periods of Rafa Benitez’s reign as manager. A nightmare injury list added to the manager’s woes.

Three players have excelled though, goalkeeper Pepe Reina, midfielder Javier Mascherano and young forward David N’Gog, but who was your player of the month?

    Goal : Babel
    Team :Reina, Carragher, Agger, Kyrgiakos, Insua, Lucas, Mascherano, Benayoun, Voronin (Babel 68), Kuyt, Torres (N’Gog 87)
    Substitute Ryan Babel drilled an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net from distance with just seven minutes remaining to give the Reds a well deserved lead in the South of France. But Lisandro’s 90th minute finish secured a point for Lyon and put the French club into the last 16.

    Liverpool were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw at home to Birmingham City. David Ngog fired the Reds into an early lead before Christian Benitez and Cameron Jerome gave Birmingham a 2-1 advantage at the break. Substitute Steven Gerrard levelled from the spot but Liverpool were not be content with a point from a game we dominated from start to finish.

    Four second half goals saw Manchester City hold Liverpool to a 2-2 draw in a pulsating encounter at Anfield.

    David Ngog’s early goal gave the travelling Kopites hope that another European miracle was about to unfold but it wasn’t to be as the road to Madrid becomes the road to Hamburg.
