Fernando Torres has returned to full training ahead of this Saturday’s Premier League clash away to Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

The Liverpool striker has been struggling with a groin injury picked up on international duty with Spain back in October and has spent the last three weeks undergoing intensive treatment.

But now Torres has begun full training and could play in this Saturday’s game. Reds boss Rafa Benitez told press at Melwood Today, “The position over Torres is very positive and he was feeling good.

“We will see how he is in the next training sessions but it seems as though things are going well.”

Right on. Torres will certainly threaten BBurn, he made them look silly last time. However, I wouldn’t mind seeing him rested a bit, N’gog has been impressive lately and the Rovers can be a little heavy with their tackles.

    Welcome Back Fernando!!
    What a good news!!
We need to be focus at Ewood Park: Blackburn is never an easy opponent.
    Chelsea knows well that.

Strange decision. Torres has an injury that could potentially require surgery. Surely he should be kept on the bench just like Aquilani and not be rushed back. he should only be used when we are 1-0 down or three nil up and even then only as a substitute for the last two minutes :-)
