Gerrard: No More Slip-Ups

Steven Gerrard says Liverpool cannot afford anymore slip-ups in their efforts to secure a Champion’s League place for next season.

 The Reds captain admitted confidence is high in the Anfield dressing room following Saturday’s 10 man victory over Everton in the Merseyside derby and hopes the team can carry that momentum into their game against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.

 “Everybody is still on a high and now we have got to take that high into the next game,” he said.

“It’s a tough one, Arsenal away always is, but we have used beating Everton as a platform in the past and we’ve got to do it again.

“We want to extend our run and go on to better things as we can’t afford any slip-ups because there is pressure coming from Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa.”

    From the game against Everton, I think that it is high time for Rafa to play 4-4-2. This is how everyone can express themselves. Use either Mash or Lucas as the DM but not both, esp. against weaker teams like Everton.

    Totally agree- 2 holding midfielders doesn`t make sense to me. Bring Gerrard back alongside Masch and play 2 up top Torres (when fit) and Kuyt. Lucas ain`t good enough for us nor is Ngog. Can`t understand why Rafa doessn`t give Pacheco a run??
