Liverpool have not as yet secured the signing of Milan Jovanovic despite rumours to the contrary.

It had been widely reported that the Serbian international striker was on the verge of signing a three year deal and would be joining the Reds in the summer. However his agent Zoran Stojadinovic claims no deals have been done yet and the players future has yet to be decided.

“There are many possibilities,” Stojadinovic said.

“The situation will be resolved soon, but he has not signed for any club as yet.

“There is plenty of interest from Spain, but there are also a number of clubs from across Europe that remain keen.”

Of course, why would he want to follow-up on “interest from Spain” and “a number of clubs cross Europe” when he can come to us?

no way he is good enough for LIVERPOOL.he is another bench-player and we shouldn’t waste any money on him except if we want to add depth in our squad.he is really good for other clubs out of premier league, but not for us.he is really mediocre.

Touche pure_pool. Haven’t seen much of Jovanovic but he sounds just like the versatile, total footballer Rafa seeks to recruit. I just hope monetary considerations don’t end up doing us in.

He’s a good player no doubt but he is 29 years old which is hardly building for the future. He has a good double figure goal tally per year but he is playing in Belgium for chrissakes and he takes Standard’s penalties which pads his stats. He is another hard working player like Kuyt, Benny, Riera, and now Maxi which we all know Rafa likes. But we need a creative explosive pure scorer to help take the pressure off Torres and Stevie not just another lad to put in a good shift but not score. I would much rather see us go after Chamakh or a similar young creative pure scorer or give Nemeth or Pacheco a proper run out.
