The agent of Juventus midfielder Christian Poulsen has confirmed that talks are still ongoing over his proposed move to Liverpool.

Poulsen is expected to move in a deal worth around £4million, with Roy Hodgson hoping to bring the Danish international to Anfield with a three-year deal.

Joern Bonneson, Poulsen’s agent, told Tipsbladet, “I don’t know if we will reach an agreement. I will go home without a contract and we will work from there.

“This is not something which will be resolved in two minutes.”

Hodgson is hopefuly of getting the deal through quickly, with the departure of Javier Mascherano expected shortly.
