Liverpool ‘in swap bid for Carlos Tevez’ – Reports

Several media outlets are reporting this morning that Liverpool have had a bid for Manchester City outcast Carlos Tevez turned down.

The Reds are reported to have offered striker Andy Carroll in a straight swap deal for the Argentine international striker, who has fallen out with the club and City boss Roberto Mancini.

Tevez has been looking for a new club for several months, and recently failed to agree terms on a move to AC Milan.

Whilst the Carroll for Tevez bid was turned down, Tevez is also thought to not be keen on staying in the Premier League with Inter Milan and Paris Saint Germain also expressing an interest.

The report was first broke by Daniel Taylor of The Guardian, with The Times and The Mirror also reporting that Liverpool contacted Man City on Thursday.

The January transfer window closes at midnight on Tuesday.

    ar`nt we learning anything from this bad deals!!! It was bad enough that we bought Carrol in the first place, to swap hip for that good for nothing Tevez would be dizasta

        I don’t think anyone would question Tevez’ quality but he is a stroppy sod and its a de-stabalising element that LFC do not want in their dressing room

    Tevez is trouble, no question, but also devastatingly good.  Carroll is a donkey: inexperienced and over-rated.  Even with a knock-down price for the Argentinian, few clubs would value Carroll at anything more than a couple of million.  Either Liverpool management are seriously deluded or this is a just the product of a bored journo.

    Last desperate attempt from the tabloid press to get some gossip out of this inactive transfer window.  Liverpool need a striker, Tevez has nothing else going on, Carroll is struggling so its convenient is all.

    I’d love us to sign a player of the quality of Carlos Tevez, but ther’s simply too much baggage attached to Carlos for my liking, Andy played well against the Scum of Utd yesterday, he was unlucky not to have scored, plus he has the assist for Kuyt’s winner, the more time he has on the pitch in an attacking team/formation the better understanding he’ll have with his team mates and the more confident he’ll get.

    Let’s be honest, the chances of Carlos Tevez coming to Liverpool are slimmer than Kiera Knightley… besides why would we want him?

    Cavani, on the other hand, is a completely different story – normally I’d say there was no chance as we don’t have CL football to offer, but with Suarez’s influence, I guess anything could happen.

    Having Carlos teves Is Not A Right Choice Because I think teves are no longer in good condition fitness he not player for a season , so ?? i dont think he can help LFC beside that Addy Should be replace by a good and quality player , i know he assist kuty during last FA game but .. he only good on hading -_- so say no to teves and find andy replace .. why dont KK try on klose ? or another good and quality striker . find player on other league is better on finding player in the same league :/
