Video: Kenny Dalglish’s post-Newcastle misery

Kenny Dalglish reflected on a frustrating afternoon of football on Sunday afternoon as Liverpool went down 2-0 at Newcastle, with Pepe Reina sent off.

The result means the Reds have lost 6 out of their last 7 league games with the critics now hitting the team, and manager Dalglish, hard.

Dalglish told press after the game, “I think the frustration and disappointment were a result of the actions Pepe took when he got a deserved red card, and also when Andy (Carroll) came off and went up the tunnel he was disappointed with the way the game’s gone, not necessarily for himself but for the team. The frustration takes him up into the dressing room.

“We don’t have a problem with people showing their disappointment or frustration, but we need to channel it better than we have done.”
