Liverpool’s official badge remains unchanged

Liverpool director of communications Jen Chang has told This Is Anfield that the club’s official badge remains the same for all non-kit inventory.

Following the release of the new Warrior manufactured kit, Liverpool’s badge featuring the Shankly Gates and Hillsborough Flames was replaced by the simple Liverbird in a throwback to the golden era of Liverpool FC.

However, the old badge remains prominent on the club’s official website and it’s publications – such as the new monthly magazine to be released next month.

Chang explained;

“Our official badge remains the same for all non-kit inventory – the badge on kit is just for new Warrior kit/apparel.”

The newly appointed American also explained why members of Brendan Rodgers’ coaching staff are yet to be formally announced on the club’s website, telling us;

“They have been appointed, it takes time for the website staff to interview them and work up their new profiles.”
