LFC Line-Up v Chelsea: Carragher starts, 3 at back

Liverpool look set to line-up with a three man defence and wing backs for the match at Chelsea this afternoon (4pm kick off).

Brendan Rodgers, LFC Manager

Martin Skrtel is missing for Liverpool, suffering from illness, so Jamie Carragher surprisingly starts in a three man defence alongside Andre Wisdom and Daniel Agger.

Reports suggest Glen Johnson and Jose Enrique will be wing-backs as Brendan Rodgers uses the same set-up as the away trip to Anzhi in the week.

Joe Allen, Nuri Sahin and Steven Gerrard are the midfield trio, with Raheem Sterling playing more centrally behind Luis Suarez up front.

Pepe Reina is still not fully fit so Brad Jones continues in goal.

Fernando Torres starts up front for Chelsea, with Mata, Hazard and Oscar behind.

Liverpool: Jones; Wisdom, Carragher, Agger; Johnson, Allen, Sahin, Gerrard, Enrique; Sterling, Suarez.

Subs: Gulacsi, Cole, Assaidi, Henderson, Coates, Downing, Suso.

Chelsea: Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Terry, Bertrand, Mikel, Ramires, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Torres.

Subs: Turnbull, Ferreira, Cahill, Romeu, Marin, Moses, Sturridge.

Referee: Howard Webb.
