This table shows the story of Liverpool’s season and the difference between the first half of the campaign to the second. Rodgers side had a points differential of -9 at one stage, recovering to finish the season with a +9 differential.

Along with the overall points total of 61, Liverpool ended the season closer to the top four, League winners, as the table below shows.

The points totals show that Liverpool closed the gap on those above them, and most significantly the vital fourth place required for Champions League qualification – which will definitely be the aim next season.
