The last time The Reds were in Bangkok, 55,000 fans packed the Rajamangala Stadium to see Ryan Babel score the Reds goal as they drew 1-1 with a Thai XI.

Only six players from the Liverpool squad who appeared four years ago are present again this time around; Daniel Agger, Martin Kelly, Jay Spearing, Glen Johnson, Martin Skrtel and Lucas.

The match arrived amidst speculation around Xabi Alonso’s future at the club, he left the club weeks later having reportedly pulled out of the game in Bangkok.

Liverpool’s attacking trio on the day were Nemeth, Ngog and Babel.
