Ilori was signed for a reported £7 million fee from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon on the final day of the summer transfer window, although manager Brendan Rodgers has previously claimed the initial fee is not that high.

The 20-year-old is yet to make his Liverpool debut, appearing on the bench three times.

Last year, Rodgers explained to The Liverpool Echo that the intention was to loan Ilori in January.

“He [Ilori] has come in, he will have six months to adapt and then he will go out and get experience” the boss said.

“Signing Ilori was about looking after the future of the club. Centre-halves are very hard to get.”

Granada are currently ninth in La Liga. Ilori was reportedly wanted by former club Sporting Lisbon and fellow La Liga side Valencia.
