Liverpool fans react to collapsed Loic Remy deal

There’s been a mixed response from Liverpool fans on social media on Sunday afternoon following the news that the Reds’ move for Loic Remy is off.

French international Remy is reported to have failed his medical in the USA ahead the USA of the proposed £8.5 million move from QPR due to a heart condition.

The news is yet to be confirmed by club or player, though many media outlets on both sides of the pond are reporting the news.

BBC Sport‘s Ben Smith writes:

They had planned to give Remy the number seven shirt and he had waited in the US for the best part of a week for the deal to be confirmed. The move will not be resurrected and Remy now faces the prospect of a return to QPR.
