Both Lucas and Borini made positive impacts when they came on during the second-half of Liverpool’s 2-1 victory over Ludogorets in the Champions League in mid-week and are rewarded today.

Skrtel returns in place of Mamadou Sakho, with Dejan Lovren expected to revert to left centre-back.

Adam Lallana drops to the bench, whilst there’s no place in the matchday squad for Philippe Coutinho as Lazar Markovic is named among the substitutes.

Glen Johnson, Joe Allen, Jon Flanagan, Emre Can and Daniel Sturridge are all injured and miss today’s clash in east London.

Former Liverpool winger Stewart Downing lines up for the Hammers.

Liverpool won this fixture last season, beating West Ham 2-1 thanks to two Steven Gerrard penalties back in April.
