Two years ago Brendan Rodgers’ side played in Melbourne, attracting a record crowd of 95,000 at the MCG. 2015 will see the club head to New South Wales to famous Sydney.

The Australian Sunday Telegraph report “negotiations are in the closing stages, with the only sticking point being Liverpool’s price tag.”

The match would be staged at Sydney Olympic Park’s ANZ Stadium, which has a capacity of 83,000.

After heading west for the 2014 tour, the Reds are expected to head east to Asia, with games likely in Thailand and Indonesia, and Australia for summer 2015.
