After defeating Championship leaders Bournemouth 3-1 in the quarter-finals on Wednesday night, Brendan Rodgers’ side were drawn to face Jose Mourinho’s men, who currently lead the Premier League table by three points from Manchester City.

Chelsea beat Derby County 3-1 to book their place in the final four of the League Cup, with Liverpool’s on-loan youngster Jordon Ibe putting in an impressive performance for the Rams.

The last time Liverpool met Chelsea in the League Cup was back in 2011, when the Reds came out 2-0 winners in the 5th Round at Stamford Bridge. Maxi Rodriguez and Martin Kelly got the goals for Kenny Dalglish‘s team.

The other semi-final tie will see Tottenham take on Sheffield United after they beat Newcastle Utd and Southampton respectively.

Liverpool will take on Chelsea at Anfield in the first leg, before going to west London for the second.

All first leg ties are to be played during the week commencing 19th January 2015, with second leg ties taking place in the week beginning 26th January 2015. Final dates and kick-off times are still to be finalised.
