Brendan Rodgers makes two changes to the side that beat Burnley on Wednesday night, with Lazar Markovic and Glen Johnson replacing Alberto Moreno and Joe Allen.

It could be that Johnson plays in the back three, with Emre Can moving into midfield to partner Jordan Henderson. That would leave Raheem Sterling and Lazar Markovic as wing-backs.

Steven Gerrard isn’t fit enough to be named among the subs. Mamadou Sakho returns among the subs.

The match is live on BT Sport 1 in the UK.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Sterling, Can, Henderson, Markovic, Coutinho, Lallana, Sturridge.

Subs: Ward, Toure, Lambert, Moreno, Sakho, Balotelli, Williams.

Blackburn: Eastwood, Henley, Baptiste, Kilgallon, Olsson, Marshall, Evans, Williamson, Conway, Cairney, Gestede.

Subs: Steele, Spurr, Brown, Rhodes, Taylor, Henry, Lenihan.
