Luis Suarez, Fernando Torres and many other former Liverpool stars took to Anfield on Sunday as part of Steven Gerrard’s All Star charity game.

The Reds captain led a select XI against a Jamie Carragher-helmed side, with the game finishing at 2-2 in front of a packed and rapturous Anfield crowd.

Goals from Carragher selections Mario Balotelli and Chelsea striker Didier Drogba were followed by a pair of penalties from Gerrard to level the score; with no extra time or penalties scheduled, the two sides had to make do with a draw.

After the game, Gerrard led the players in a lap of honour around Anfield, with many having left the club without what could be deemed a reasonable farewell.

Following from that, Torres, Suarez and Co. took to social media to thank the fans for once and for all—here is a selection of the best:

Great to see Luis back at Anfield today I gave as good as I got but he nutmegged me obviously!
