Bogdan becomes the third out-of-contract player to sign for the Reds this summer, following the arrivals of James Milner and Danny Ings.

The 27-year-old Hungarian replaces Brad Jones as Liverpool’s second-choice goalkeeper and back up to Simon Mignolet. Jones leaves the club this summer following his contract expiring.

Bogdan made 24 appearances for Wanderers when they were last in the Premier League in 2011/12. In total he made over 120 appearances for Bolton since 2007.

He impressed against Liverpool in the 0-0 FA Cup fourth round game at Anfield in January – a time when he wasn’t first-choice at Bolton.

Since then he’s re-established himself in Neil Lennon’s starting XI but looks set to leave the club when his contract expires this summer.

Bogdan is currently away on international duty with Hungary.
