Christian Benteke enjoyed a comfortable competitive debut for Liverpool against Swindon Town on Sunday, and here are the highlights from his performance.

There’s a weight of expectation on the shoulders of Benteke — by no fault of his own his £32.5 million price tag has to be justified.
He gave fans a glimpse of what might be to come from him with a superb turn and volley on the edge of the area to give Liverpool the lead in the 47th minute of their pre-season friendly at the County Ground.
The Reds went on to win 2-1 thanks to a late strike from youngster Sheyi Ojo, but it was Benteke, and his fellow debutant Roberto Firmino, that were the centre of attention.
Brendan Rodgers was delighted with Benteke’s goal, telling the club’s official website after the game, “Christian’s goal was incredible, whether it was a pre-season friendly or in a league or cup game. It was wonderful technique from the big guy.”
Benteke and Liverpool are now making the final preparations before the new Premier League season gets underway at the weekend.
