Video: Daniel Sturridge on Klopp’s intensity, his “brother” Ibe and why he left Man City

Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge is interviewed by Sky Sports’ Soccer AM’s ‘Tubes’ – discussing his friendship with Jordon Ibe and Raheem Sterling, among other things.

In an interview recorded before the Man City match on Saturday, Sturridge speaks about the reasons why he left City for Chelsea in 2009.

He also speaks about new manager Jurgen Klopp – who Sturridge is yet to feature for due to injury. “He put our style on us pretty much straight away, he trains you exactly how he wants you to play. He’s very involved, very intense, wants you to be training at your best level every day.”

Sturridge talks about trying to help and guide Ibe as a player, taking him under his wing.

There’s also a rather interesting attempt at an American accent…
