Liverpool have enjoyed a number of good trips to Villa Park in recent seasons, but Sunday’s was the best of the lot as Jurgen Klopp’s side romped to a stunning 6-0 victory.

It was a much-needed three points and confidence boost that couldn’t have been better timed ahead of the re-opening of the all-important Europa League campaign and with the League Cup final looming,

A dominant performance from the first whistle was capped off by a blistering attacking display, with goals from Daniel Sturridge, James Milner, Emre Can, Divock Origi, Nathaniel Clyne and Kolo Toure sending the travelling Kopites home delighted.

The joy from a thoroughly deserved and hugely impressive win prompted those that instigated it to express their delight en masse post-match.

Quality team performance today?? #YNWA ???

  1. Thought this was beautiful but wow…just watched that masterclass performance from Barcelona. Nice to see Suarez on his way to breaking 50 goals.

  2. If we hadn’t thrown those 2 points away v Sunderland!
I honestly don’t care about the £77 tickets and if any fan had read the actual facts, the tickets over the whole season now cost more!
So well done. Pat yourself on the back and know that you probably cost us 2 or 3 places in the league, to actually pay more money x

  3. Nice result to wake up. Just seen the highlights. You’d always hope for a decent win against last place, but 6 goals is great to see. And our goal difference is in the positive for the first time in ages!!

    • True Reds : I don’t think we were brilliant in fact our defending was laxed at times , but it was one of them games were everything we did finished in the back of the Villa net . Felt for the Villa fans they don’t deserve that team ….relegation for sure .

      • Exactly, that’s the worry, the first 20-25 we could barely get the ball off them, they let good chances go. After the first goal went in they just collapsed.

        • I wasn’t worried as we dealt with everything quite well. We either caught them in midfield or our defense picked it up. We built up the pressure until they cracked.

    • Yes Villa were poor, but 6-0 away against any team is a great result. I think it highlights to everyone how much we miss some of our more injury prone players and how direct replacements/cover must be found in the summer.

  4. What a great victory from our lads!!! It’s great to see the introduction of Kevin Stewart in the epl, the lad worked his sox off in cup games and was rewarded by Klopp.
Kolo and big Emre has now scored more goal/s than Eden Hazard this season so far.
Migs was happy too coz not often he gets a clean sheet.
I know its only Villa but it was the perfect platform for our returning stars from injuries to get their confidence and fitness back by scoring or assisting goals.
Europa league next in midweek, bring it on FC Augsberg we’re ready for ya!!!

  5. I see many a player using question marks, Firmino’s for example are a wee bit confusing… Do this lot know what they mean????????????????????
