“A highly professional assassination” – Liverpool fans react to mauling of Everton

Following Liverpool’s 4-0 win over Everton at Anfield on Wednesday, we look at how fans reacted to the game.

Rarely have the Reds had an easier night at the office against their local rivals.

Jurgen Klopp‘s side blew Everton away on Merseyside, on what was a harrowing night for Roberto Martinez and his Toffees side.

Divock Origi and Mamadou Sakho both scored headers shortly before half-time, after a dominant first-half showing, and it only got better from that point on.

Ramiro Funes Mori was sent-off for a bad challenge on Origi – the Belgian has a badly sprained ankle – and Liverpool threatened to run riot.

Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho both found the net to give the scoreline a more emphatic look, and the final quarter of the game was like a training ground exercise.

It is three straight Premier League wins for the Reds, who are flying at the moment.

Is a top-four finish now completely out of the question? They are six points behind a vulnerable-looking Arsenal side.

Predicted a 4-1 win in the prematch, and thought we’d be comfortable – but not this comfortable.

Apparently form goes out the window and derbies are unpredictable. No. As I thought. Very easy win. Everton are lucky it was only 4. Very easy, very predictable.
