Video: Jurgen Klopp post-match press conference – West Brom 1-1 Liverpool

Watch Jurgen Klopp‘s post-match press conference after Liverpool drew 1-1 with West Brom on the final day of the Premier League season.

Klopp’s side equalised through a superb goal from Jordon Ibe, having fallen behind to Salomon Rondon’s strike earlier in the first half.

On Ibe’s goal, his first league goal for the Reds, Klopp said: “A nice goal! We could have had more situations like this, Brannagan passed the ball really well, quick and simple.”

Klopp felt his side deserved the point, saying: “West Brom scored a really nice goal, we could have defended better. We struck back, good. We deserved that point.”

The boss made 11 changes to the starting XI, with Wednesday’s Europa League final in mind. On the changes he said: “It made sense, it was absolutely clear we couldn’t play here today with 100% concentration. I know about playing finals.”

There were plenty of positives for the Reds’ boss, with Danny Ings making his first appearance for seven months, and Jordan Henderson returning from injury. Both appeared as second half substitutes.

On Henderson’s return, Klopp said: “I said I don’t want to force the situation, but he didn’t feel anything in the last few sessions. No issues.”

On Ings, Klopp said: “It’s nice to be a part of this. It wasn’t that we thought he should have changed the game, more about giving him something.”
