Mario Balotelli’s agent confident of move to Turkey

Mario Balotelli’s agent says he’s offered the Italian striker to Turkish side Besiktas as he searches for an escape route from Anfield.

The Italian forward spent last season on loan at AC Milan, where he scored just once in 20 Serie A appearances. No surprise then that they decided against making the move permanent.

That goal tally matched Balotelli’s Premier League goal tally the previous season for the Reds.

The 25-year-old clearly has no future back on Merseyside, two years after Liverpool paid Milan £16 million for his services.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be keen to offload him and you can understand why.

The players agent is quoted on Thursday telling Turkish media he’s offered the forward to Besiktas and is confident a move will happen.

“I offered Mario to Besiktas and I’m waiting for their answer,” Mino Raiola said.

“But I’m quite sure the transfer will happen as the president already assured me in the past that he would do everything he can to sign him.”

The Guardian claim Liverpool have received inquiries from the Chinese Super League as well for the controversial forward.

The players wages could prove problematic though, and you get the feeling a loan move may end up being the eventual outcome later this summer.
