Video: Jurgen Klopp’s pre-Tottenham vs. Liverpool press conference in full

Watch Jurgen Klopp address the media at Melwood on Thursday morning ahead of Saturday’s Premier League trip to Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool return to north London this weekend just two weeks after beating Arsenal 4-3 in their first game of the 2016/17 campaign.

Defeat followed with a damp 2-0 defeat at Burnley, before a resounding response in a 5-0 victory at Burton Albion in the League Cup in midweek.

Responding to comments from Daniel Sturridge this week regarding the striker’s discontent of not being played as a centre-forward, Klopp told press he doesn’t “want to play Daniel as a wide player”.

“It’s flexible football, you have to find a formation where players start,” Klopp added.

“In the decisive moments he needs to be involved in the finishing moments. Both goals [vs. Burton] he finished in the box.”

Emre Can limped off during the second-half of the Reds’ victory over Burton in midweek and Klopp provided a brief update.

“It’s not really serious, it’s the ankle he has had problems with in the past. We’re not sure if he will be available against Spurs.”

Tottenham vs. Liverpool gets underway at 12:30pm on Saturday, 27th August 2016. This Is Anfield will have more build-up and live coverage — download the free This Is Anfield app for iPhone or Android here.
