Confirmed Liverpool lineup vs. Swansea City: Lovren returns at the Liberty

Jurgen Klopp named Dejan Lovren in his starting lineup for Liverpool’s latest Premier League clash away to Swansea City.

The Reds take to the Liberty Stadium for their final outing before the October international break, looking to continue their fine league form with a victory.

Vying with a troubled Swans outfit, Liverpool will be confident of sealing the three points, despite taking just one win from their last five clashes with the south Wales side.

This is buoyed by the strong starting lineup Klopp opted to field, providing a stark contrast to the 3-1 defeat at the Liberty in May.

Loris Karius kept his place in goal, with Nathaniel Clyne, Joel Matip, Lovren and James Milner tasked with protecting the German’s goal, hoping to secure the Reds’ first league clean sheet of 2016/17.

Lovren returns to the starting lineup after missing last Saturday’s 5-1 victory at home to Hull City through illness, with Ragnar Klavan dropping down to the substitutes’ bench.

In midfield, Jordan Henderson is joined by Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana, as Klopp perseveres with his successful 4-3-3 formation.

Highlighting the depth in Liverpool’s attacking ranks, Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino form Klopp’s three-man forward line, with Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi joining Klavan on the bench.

Alongside Klavan, Sturridge and Origi, Simon Mignolet, Lucas Leiva, Alberto Moreno and Emre Can provide Klopp with a plethora of options in reserve.
