Video: Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson pull Christmas surprise on local school

Liverpool midfielders Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson surprised pupils at Blackmoor Junior School ahead of Christmas.

LFCTV brought Lallana and Henderson to the school near Melwood as they interviewed children on their favourite Liverpool players.

There were some Everton supporters, too, which led to some interesting encounters when the Reds stars emerged from behind a curtain at the back of the hall.

Lallana was invariably one of the children’s favourites, with Joel Matip, Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino also regular features.

There were some impressive celebrations on show, too, not least by Henderson himself, who gave his version of the Sturridge dance.

Liverpool are currently preparing for their next Premier League outing, which comes after Christmas on December 27, when they host Stoke City at Anfield.

They’ll be hoping some of their festive goodwill will rub off on Merseyside, as they look to continue their fine run at the top end of the table, sitting just six points off leaders Chelsea.

The Reds play two more games before the end of 2016, at home to Stoke and Manchester City (December 31), before beginning the new year away to Sunderland.

Both Lallana and Henderson have been key to Liverpool success so far in 2016/17, and Blackmoor Junior School will no doubt hope this continues.
