Watch the highlights as Liverpool scraped through to the FA Cup fourth round on Wednesday night, with a 1-0 win over League 2 side Plymouth Argyle.

The Reds edged a scrappy encounter at Home Park, with Jurgen Klopp fielding a young side that also included Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge.

It was Liverpool’s captain on the night, Lucas Leiva, who decided matters, with the Brazilian heading home his first Reds goal in seven years in the first-half.

Fortunately, Divock Origi‘s late missed penalty didn’t prove costly, but Plymouth had some chances to equalise in a tense second-half in the south west.

Klopp will have been relieved to see extra-time avoided, on a freezing cold night that threatened to produce an FA Cup shock.

Next up for Liverpool in round four is the visit of Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers on January 28th (12:30pm), which represents a great chance to qualify for the last-16.

It is nearly 11 years since the Reds last lifted the FA Cup, with Steven Gerrard‘s heroics against West Ham ensuring they lifted the trophy for the seventh time in their history.

Although the Premier League takes precedence this season, and arguably even the League Cup, it is a competition Klopp is very keen to progress in.

Before cup commitments return to the fore, Liverpool take on Swansea City at Anfield in the league on Saturday lunchtime.
