Only Southampton stand in the way of Liverpool and another trip to Wembley, as the Reds head to St. Mary’s for the first leg of their League Cup semi-final tie on Wednesday night.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have reached this stage of the League Cup for the second consecutive season after victories over Burton Albion, Derby County, Tottenham and Leeds Utd, whilst Southampton have overcome all-Premier League opposition in Crystal Palace, Sunderland and Arsenal.
The Reds are enjoying the better of seasons in the league, sitting second, just five points off top spot, whilst the Saints are 10th.
The last time the teams met at St. Mary’s was in October when the teams played out a goalless draw.
The match gets underway at 7:45pm GMT — that’s 2:45pm New York, 11:45am California, 4:45am Sydney, 2:45am Singapore, 10:45pm Dubai and 9:45pm in Nairobi.
