The League Managers Association (LMA) has jumped in and urged Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez and his Manchester United counterpart Alex Ferguson to end their public war of words.
The two managers have been locked in ongoing public rants about each other since January, as their two teams battled it out at the top of the Premier League.
Most recently, Benitez refused to congratulate Ferguson on pipping the Reds to the title at the weekend.
“They are very experienced, very successful and highly competitive,” said Richard Bevan, chief executive of the LMA.
“They will at times have strong views but I think on this instant it is time for all parties to move on.”
