Liverpool’s dreary season continues with the visit of Wolves at Anfield on Boxing Day.
The Reds have won just four of their last seventeen games and Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Portsmouth was their seventh league defeat of the season.
Thankfully for Rafa Benitez and his men, Wolves haven’t enjoyed a particuarly good season either, lying 12th in the table but only 3 points out of the relegation zone despite a 2-0 victory over relegation rivals Burnley in their last game.
Alberto Aquilani has recovered from a calf problem and should be in line to make only his second start for the club. The Italian was absent from the squad that traveled down to Portsmouth last week.
