Fans derby ends in defeat for Reds

TIA and NSNO were in action for their fifth game in two years on Saturday.

This Is Anfield and NSNO lined up against each other on Saturday to raise money for the Ray of Hope Appeal and The Everyman Cancer Research. The fifth match between the two websites ended in a win for the Blues to level the scores at 2 wins each and a draw.

NSNO ran out 2-0 winners courtesy of goals in either half, the first after some rather Roy Evans-era style defending and the second from a corner which the keeper could do nothing about.

TIA, sporting their new kit, had a big squad and some new faces and had a huge opportunity to equalise just before half time but Dave, aka Red Squiggle, just put the ball wide of the far post. It was the Reds’ best chance of the game despite dominating possesion for long periods but failing to find that killer pass or shot in the final third.

‘Great Dane’ Colin made his debut at the back after the opening goal and tightened things up with a man of the match display.

Thanks to everyone who came down to play and raised money for a worthy cause.
