As I said in the last blog, I wasn’t too surprised to see that the mancs had managed to block Heinze from moving to Anfield. In any other walk of life, if you have a signed letter from your employer giving their consent to you seeking employment elsewhere, then there’s no court in the land that would fail to uphold it. However, if your employer happens to be the mancs and your judges happen to be from the Premier League, then you haven’t got a hope in hell.

Rafa was understandably pissed off with the decision and made some angry comments afterwards which suggested that the mancs have enjoyed some favourable treatment by the Premier League in this and other matters. The only thing I found surprising about his statements was that it had taken him over three years to reach this conclusion and all I could think to say was, welcome to English football mate. (click here)
I think most football supporters of all teams would agree that, both on and off the field, the mancs have always enjoyed favourable treatment by both the league and the manc obsessed British media. Throughout the years there have been countless examples of this. Just some examples that spring to my mind are:
Cantona’s receiving a virtual slap on the wrist by the league for his infamous “karate-kick†assault on a Crystal Palace fan. And by the time the press got through with this one, it was the assaulted fan who was painted as the guilty party and branded a racist. Just one example of many favourable disciplinary punishments handed out to their players over the years.
The mancs pulling out of defending the FA Cup in 2000 with the leagues blessing as their price for taking part in the World Club Championship in South America that year. I don’t remember Liverpool receiving any preferential treatment when they were forced to travel to Tokyo in the middle of the season, to take part in the same competition in 2005.
Back in 1993 when trailing 1-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday, the referee somehow allowed over 7 additional minutes to be played which enabled the mancs to score twice and win the game that secured them their first Premiership title. Never had so much additional time been played in a league game before or since, and yet no questions were ever asked.
Those are just three examples of many, and that’s without even mentioning the many penalty decisions that always seem to go their way, as Jose Mourinho discovered last season. Favouritism is something the mancs have always enjoyed, but just in case anyone thinks that I am being a little paranoid, consider this. Liverpool are the most successful team in the history of the game. We have won more league titles and more European cups then the mancs or anybody else in English football, and we have also had the most successful manager of all time in Bob Paisley. Yet despite this, check out how many knighthoods have been handed out to manc players and managers as opposed to Liverpool. I rest my case!
The reason I bring all this stuff up is because I read Alex Fungusfaces latest rant about Liverpool earlier today, with some amusement. He told a press conference: ‘We are looking at Liverpool’s whole role in this. We are not letting them off with it.“ I’m sure Rafa is quaking in his boots, but anyway he continued: “That is what we are investigating. We will see how it comes out. David Gill is working on that at the moment. We will get to the bottom of it. They had no chance of winning the case with Heinze. They obviously haven’t studied the Premier League rules.’

Presumably these Premier League rules include a paragraph which states that Liverpool must not piss off the mancs by attempting to buy a player that is readily available to everybody else. It may be the mancs desire not to sell any of their players to a domestic rival, but that doesn’t make it a rule, or does it?
What struck me most about Fergies latest rant is that he now seems to be giving up any attempt to disguise the fact that the mancs and the Premier League are joined at the hip. Afterall isn’t it meant to be the job of the Premier League and not the mancs, to investigate any supposed wrong-doing on Liverpool’s part in this matter?
Or is it just that the mancs are afraid that any impartial investigation into dodgy transfer dealings would surely reveal that it is the mancs themselves who are by far the biggest offenders. In any case I suspect all of this hot air Fungusface is spouting is purely designed to draw peoples attention away from the piss poor start his expensively assembled team have made to the season and I only hope that Spurs can heap more misery on them on Sunday. So get stuffed Fergie, you are nothing but a wart on the arse of humanity!
More importantly, Rafa’s move for Heinze shows he has recognised an area of weakness in the squad and I think its an area that needs to be addressed. If it was just another left back we needed, then I would favour giving young Insua a chance. I was impressed with him in the couple of games he’s had so far and he looks like he’ll develop into a fine player. But, with Paletta going on loan to Boca Juniors for the season, we need some extra cover at centre back and I think he’s going to need to bring somebody in.

On to tomorrow’s game and some people say that it is bad luck for a Black Cat to cross your path, but I think we’ve had more then our fair share of bad luck over this past week and its time for us to turn the tables at the Stadium of Light. These are the kind of games that we simply must win if we are to stay in touch at the top. Too often in the past we have allowed games such as this to become banana skins by failing to take our chances and kill teams off. Sunderland started the season well by beating Spurs but they have conceded 5 goals in their last two games, 2 against Birmingham and 3 against Wigan, so we have got to fancy our chances of finding the net against them.
It looks likely that we will be with Steven Gerrard for the game and without his driving presence in the centre of our midfield, I think we need to be a little more adventurous in the wide areas and in attack (click here) . If it were up to me, I’d like to see Torres and Voronin in attack and the Killer B’s (Benny Onion and Bubble) on the wings.
But Rafa usually favours players that haven’t been involved in the international games, so he will probably go with Pennent on the right and this will probably also mean that Crouch will play in attack. Don’t get me wrong, Crouch would deserve a place in the side for his ability to cause problems for the Sunderland defence, but he also has the extra advantage of being the only player in the side tall enough to have any chance of getting on the end of one of Peanut’s crosses!
Anyway, if we do our stuff tomorrow, my money’s on us continuing our good start to the season with a 3-0 win.

Whatever he is doing it’s simply to stop the media and others talking about their shit start to the season. David GILL might be doing some investigation into the matter, but it would probably be about finding a possible replacement for fungus face.

It’s a pity their playing spurs this week, a run of two wins on the trot is a lot to ask of Jol’s men.

i still reckon we should chuck in a few cheeky bids for some of whiskey face’s more favoured players….not with any thought of playing them, more with the intention of making fergusons head explode. judgeing by how red his head is, we’re about two thirds of the way there. reckon it would only take a bid for that twat neville and it would be at exploding point.

Sorry Fat Scouser, I just can’t help myself, that git just gets on my tits. Another thing that annoys me about the clown, that I forgot to mention in the blog, is that whenever there is any kind of verbal exchange between him and Rafa, Maureen, Wenger or anybody else. Somehow it always seems to be portrayed in the media that he is the wise one and the voice of reason, whereas everyone else is just having a rant.
Rafa’s net outlay over the summer was roughly about a third of fungusface, and yet it was Rafa who the media was saying would be under pressure to succeed this season. Now there’s hardly been a negative word mentioned about the fact that the mancs have failed to win any of their first three games, but can you imagine the shit Rafa would have got if we were in the same position?
Shit, you’ve started off on another rant so I better leave it at that.
Aussie-kopfan, I’m not sure what it means in Oz, but a scanger in this part of the world is another name for a scumbag, or a dirtbird as they say in Dublin. According to the Kopblog English Dictionary all three words can be used to describe manc or chav supporters.

Ah… You know, I think Fergie’s finally gonna’ implode this season. The biggest fluke in football history was United winning the title last season, and he knows it.
I’m more worried about Chelsea, and to be honest I think they’re now the team we always want to beat most.
I’m praying Heinze knocks them out of the Champions League this season. Stretford end, 97th minute.

Killer bees is a clasic. Another dig at peanut, it almost becoming an obsession Gerry, shame on you. I think he is playing some good football at the moment. I agree with the above comment that the mancs where lucky last year when I looked at the squads I did not think that they would have come out on top. They where thin in the mid field. With the Drama Diva or should it be diver, suspended and the neanderthal man breaking his club they have struggled. What comes around goes around, the luck they had last season has gone walk about for the start of this one. I agree Sir or Lady lush is venting his feelings to distract

I tried to be flipant with me last comment Gerry, and just have a bit of a laugh. And I’d just call him a Scanger now for a bit of a giggle, but that would be an insult to the Scangers of this world. That dirty, stinkin, drunken, dirty, minging, dirty, cheating, dirty, alzhiemer suffering, dirty, meglomaniac cunt, is a bit too mild an all. In fact, I can’t think of words low enough to describe the two faced hypocritical auld cunt. I suppose Martin Jol could, though. And wouldn’t it be great if Berbotov – the latest player he has tapped up – scored the winner at Prawn Trafford this weekend. And I’d like to see what Slur Alex would say about that on Match Of The Day, but he won’t speak to them since they caught his football agent dipping into the till. And I’d like to see what he said to The Times about it, but he won’t speak to them since they exposed him for tapping up at least 14 players. And I could go on about the dirty auld cunt’s mis-deeds, but at the end of the day, all I want to see is what the dirty auld cunt has to say when Rafa knocks him off his fuckin perch and he has to hand the title over to the real Special One.

I couldn’t agree more with ya Gerry. The European Labour laws should come into play when a player wants a deal that is best suited for his career.
As for tonight’s game, it would be great to see El Nino and Voronin combining up front! Crouchie as I wished, an OPTION on the bench for us… and against a team like the Black Cats, he would do much damage.
Also great to see Hyypia back and Agger rested… Looks to me like Carra will get some rest time too soon and it only bids well for the team. Hopefully The Monster gets a run out tonight, really miss his presence in midfield.

Great Job , Gerry.
How come he is willing to sell Smith to Newcastle,
does he not consider them a worthy contender for trophies and therefore no threat to His Manc scum?
I would be offend if I was a Geordie.
Great result Today. we should have run out easy winners, with a little better finsihing,
Their Keeper did have a great game though.
It was good to see Momo not only score but play very well.
Voronin took his goal well, and looks like a he and Torres linked up well together.
I hope Sami and Carra’s injuries aren’t to serious.
It does show that we need some extra cover for
the Centre of Defence.
Maybe we should make a bid for Vidic and Maybe
ONeill from the Manscum before the Window closes?
That would send old Whiskey Breath Reaching for His Bottle.

Redscouse – in fairness….do you consider newcastle a threat?? i certainly dont.
I’m SPEWING we didnt score another goal. i had $50 at 10-1 on a 3-0 liverpool win. was tearing my hair out at the end when Voronin tried to pass to El Nino instead of taking it himself. Ah well, it was a solid display nonetheless.
When voronin laid it off to Momo i was thikning to myself, if i could have picked one player for the ball NOT to go to in this situation, it was Momo. But low and behold the boy cracks an absolute belter. great strike!
He played well actaully. a few stray passes from him, but no more than usual. Penant also played reasonably well too. he is great with the ball at his feet, but then when it comes time to pass….not so great…infact, shite altogether.
Torres played well, but lets face it, he really should have put the ball in the back of the net at leat one. ah well, he still played well. Next week. Fuck he’s quick.
Voronin just looks like a strong , angry, horrible person. he looks like he’s eat your kids given half a chance. Love it. Exactly what i want in a striker.
Cara sounds like he could be out for a while. broken ribs can be painful. but having said that, you can play with broken ribs…just hurts like fuck! Sami will be right though, broken nose is nothing. i play rugby two days after i break my nose.
I tell ya, the chavs were lucky to get a point against Pompey. They are not looking the force they once were, and if you Utd continue to look like the couldnt score in a brothel with a hand full of 50′s, then this season could very well be red…mersey red!

Manchester United are just a turncoat club, they turn on all their best players, and always have, and always will.
It pains me that they’re a premiership ‘force’ with the way they conduct themselves.
When Beckham was there he was ‘the best wide player there is’ 2 days after him leaving ‘Yeah… he was alright’.
Infact some United fans say that because they sold Horseface they won the league, haha.

As for tevez i think LFC got the better of the two Argies, and looking at the mancs and spurs i cant see any threats coming from those two, i know its early days yet and the mancs are without the portuguese wanker but honestly they are very mediocre (berbatov has just missed another sitter).

Well, I had me rant the other day. And I might go a bit now, but at least let’s be logical and honest about it….
There’s no denying Man U are a great football club, with a great history, fan base and a bursting trophy cabinet. To say anything else, you just look like a knobhead.
And when the truth is told, old Slur Alex is a great, great manager. But to me, even with me confessional head on, it’s all tainted, proper, proper tainted. For fuck’s sake – how many years has it been since a penalty was given against the old clock watching cunt at Prawn Trafford?
And there’s no denying it, they are great tactics that he employs. And you can see Rafa is building the same seige mentality – us against them – in our club. But let’s have it right….
Shankly – success, personality and humour. Paisley – sucess with the most humble attitude I have ever seen. For fuck’s sake Bob liberated Rome in WWII, probably in he’s wooly cardie and slippers. So, what was football to that great man – “Oh, I’ve been here in the bad times too. We finished second one year.” Bad qoute I suppose, as it’s probably the only time Bob ever got a bit blase and cocky about it all.
And there’s no two ways about it, we’re no angels. We have our skeletons for everyone to see, and aren’t the media just happy to point them out, lest any forget. But without me going on about it, or giving incidences, you look up Man U’s misdeeds for yourself – Fergie, no humour, no humilty, a bloody bully, and absolute cheat. Well, you got away with it for a decade Slur Alex but the writing is on the wall. What a shame the last tap-up, Berbatov, never saw them off today. And what a shame Martin Jol had to be ripped off by a homer ref when Whiskey Nose near robbed him of his job last week.
But power to Rafa – we will fight against all of this anyway.
In Rafa We Trust!

Gerry/ lads:
Just loved your comments on Manure and Fungus.
What I really find surprising when it comes down to the issue of the Mancs getting favorable treatment (and that’s just not in the EPL) is why this is so.
I mean, I admit, as Fat Scouser says, Manure should be a respectable team, with the history and its records. They had great players whom I would loved to have seen on my side. However, it is evident that we are the most successful team in British Football history, and there are other teams that should be considered in the same grounds as the mancs. As a matter of fact, the mancs are not that special.
So, what exactly is it that makes them “be treated “so special??
I lived in the UK for 10 years and that is one thing I just could never understand, and I still do not see it. The mancs get special treatment from the media around the world, alongside the money-motivated Chleshit, and it pisses me off when a team like us, with better record, history and passionate fans, are not treated with more respect from the media outside the UK.
I just don’t get it….but then again, what is the point in making an analysis and wasting my time on the reasoning behing the mancs’ apparent bullying.
It is one thing for us fans to get irritated when of our players move to a “rival” team (like, Figo), but it is criminal when the league blocks such transfers. What, exactly was the basis for such decision?? I think the league has a responsiblity to at least disclose its decision-maiking in these matters, because it will set a weird standard for the future.
Anyway, the lads made my day on Sat with the win, but the Mancs’ win pissed me off, yet again. Come on Berbatov, score when it counts…

As a childhood LFC supporter, who dislikes the mancs as much as anyone, I believe we must be careful not to sink into a mentality of “we always get unfair treatment”.
It’s better to look at the bright side of things – knowing that when we do win the league – we’ve done it in spite of fighting an uphill battle.
Yes – the evident unfair treatment is annoing – but you can’t build a great future by focusing on the past!
Entering into playing the mancs’ game only means that we’ll be dragged down to their level – and that they’ll beat us on experience!
We’re much better than that!

Karsten Madsen, i dont think any of the lads and ladies on this sight think we are treated unfairly, sure the manure get all the right press treatment and i am only glad they have not achieved the things the mighty LFC have, imagine getting that lot stuffed down our throats by the press every other day, and yes you are right to look on the bright side, but looking at the unbelievable luck the manc scum enjoy is beyond comprehension , they have had a massive 7 penalties awarded against them at home in the 15yrs since the premier league was formed, no i dont think its a case of us being treated unfairly, probably a tad jealous of why lady luck showers her benevolence on that pack of shite.

Redman, thank you for the statistic – 7 penalties in 15yrs. I knew it was something shite like that, but didn’t have the proper numbers to hand. And I think they went about 5 years without a single penalty being awarded against them at Yawn Trafford.
But make no mistake about it, it’s not just lady luck. Do you realise the first year they won the Prem, they needed to win their last home game to secure the title. Oh, and Boy did they secure it…
1-1 scoreline, 90 minutes up, Slur Alex glaring at his wristwatch and the ref, so, in a game with very few stoppages, the referee played an astonishing 7 minutes extra time until they scored. Then he blew immeadiately, well almost immeadiately, after the ball hit the net.
Don’t be naive, this shit doesn’t happen by chance.
And I would be happy to tell anyone why and how this shite goes on, but I don’t want to hog the blog
So, just read Man U’s history and ours – from a nuetral perspective. And you will see the unfairness and bias that Rafa has now seen, and declared his intention to fight against it on the pitch.

Redman, my stats aren’t up to date, but what I can tell you is this. In the ten Premiership seasons between 92/93 to 2002/2003, only 4 penalties were awarded at the theatre of prawns. 2 were missed, one was scored by John Sheridan back in 1993 for Shef Wednesday in the game mentioned in the blog, where fat arse Steve Bruce equalised in the 86th minute and that got the winner in the 96th minute! Ruel Fox scored the other one for Norwich in the same year. To put that stat into some kind of context, its worth noting that in season 2002/2003, Ruud Van Horseface scored an incredible 9 penalties at old trafford alone. I think that says it all!

it really pisses me off how the FA just ignore facts like that. Every single person outside of Manchester realises that this is the way things work for united. its a disgrace. if it happened in a normal industry, the FA would be sued for not providing equal opportunities. If LFC is not a class act to Everton fans after last evening I don’t know what is.
On a happier note, we did really well last night even though we were without our heart and soul in Stevie and Jamie. Monster Masch showed again why he should be picked ahead of Alonso, no doubt. Classy, confident player who is much better at the holding position than Alonso. He’s much faster and doesn’t waste possession or tackle recklessly like Alonso.
Benny Onion, as Gerry likes to call him, was a busy bee last night and deserves a good mention. He should also be playing on the left wing ahead of Riise, who again showed his frequent inability to focus on defense and passing. His first touch time and again failed us and that wonderful left foot has also lost accuracy. Benny on the other hand brings creativity to the team and his industry will complement Pennant when they both patrol the wings. Babel is not ready yet but he seems to be a big big player for the future.

Got to agree, Mook, Monst Masch is a better player than Alonso, especially in his tackling and vision. Last night’s game also confirmed for me what I thought last season: despite Mr Benny’s recent high-class signings, there’s no better player at LFC than the superb Deadly Dirk. Crouch was impressive also; just needs some heading lessons from uncle Sami.

Alonso’s best time in LFC was his first year. Other than that he’s been on the decline. Bad tackling, wasteful possession, back passing, etc. During the Sunderland game I was cursing at him more than Riise, and that’s a bad thing. Maybe for these two players being selected almost automatically for games in the past couple of seasons due to lack of competition for their positions gave them a reason to slack. I hope things change this season.
