Ì’m as happy as a nun in a cucumber field at the moment. I’m looking forward to watching some decent football this weekend and we’ve also got a new Kopblog competition coming up at the end of this blog, so life is good!
Thank Shanks that long international break is finally over and we can get back to watching the football we all know and love. Before we were rudely interrupted by FIFA, we had some great momentum behind us and were playing some awesome football to revive our title challenge. So like every other Liverpool supporter I’ve got my fingers, toes and just about everything else crossed that we can pick up from where we left off at Fulham on Saturday.
Actually as international breaks go we haven’t come out of this one too badly for a change and some of our players will return to us with an extra boost of confidence after performing well for their countries. Riera and Alonso got the goals for Spain as they came from behind to win 2-1 in Turkey so they should have an extra spring in their step and Torres came through both of Spain’s games un-injured. I think that might also give us a boost because although Torres has played well for us recently, I still thought he was lacking that extra bit of sharpness that only really comes with games, so provided he hasn’t picked up too many bumps and bruises getting these two under his belt might well prove to be a bonus for us.
By all accounts Steven Gerrard continued his good form and played very well for England in their two games. The news today that he has signed a two year contract extension is fantastic. I think it will not only give an extra lift to players and fans alike but it also sends out a positive message to some of our other players who are currently negiotating new deals and perhaps even further afield to potential transfer targets, of course knowing Rafa that’s probably exactly what it was designed to do.
Among our other internationals, Deadly Dirk, who I’ve just heard has also agreed a two year contract extension, was on fire for the Dutch with 3 goals in two games and Babel also got a run out from the bench. Dagger also got some much-needed game time for Denmark and Skrtel also did well for Slovakia etc, etc. Even the injuries picked up by Benny Onion and Hyypia turned out to be not too bad and they should be available for selection again in a matter of days, so it’s all turned out pretty good for us.
So our focus can now well and truly turn to our game at the weekend. We’ve carved into the mancs lead in recent games and now it’s time for us to really up the ante. If we could return to the top of the table on Saturday evening it would be fantastic and really crank up the pressure on the mancs ahead of their game at home to Villa on Sunday but we’ve got to beat Fulham first and that can be by no means taken for granted.
Having watched them a lot over the years it was sometimes easy to see why their ground was called “Craven” Cottage but this season they seem to have found an extra resilience. Outside of their defeat of the mancs in their last game, they have also beaten Arsenal and drawn with the chavs at the Cottage this season and let’s not forget that they also got a 0-0 draw at Anfield, so they will certainly be no push-overs.
Fortunately their defeat of the mancs last time can also work in our favour as it should ensure that our players are extra wary of them. Fitness permitting I would expect Rafa to stick pretty much with the side that was performing so well for us before the break, the only doubt would appear to whether Masch has recovered enough from his long return trek to Anfield from South America.
So I’d be fairly confident we’ll line-up with Reina, Arby, Carra, Skrtel, Aurelio, Kuyt, Alonso, Masch or Lucas, Riera, Gerrard and Torres. If we can recapture the form we showed before the break I’d be very confident about our chances, if not or if tiredness catch’s up on some of our players this could turn out to be a real scrap. I would be more than happy to come away from there with any kind of win as long as we take the points but I’ll put my money on 2-0 and hope for the best.
Before I get to our competition, just a quick word on the other two big football stories to have broken over the last 24 hours or so. Alan Shearer has gone to manage Newcastle for at least their last 8 games in an attempt to save them from relegation. The Looney Toon supporters have gotten all excited by this and have branded him their new “Messiah”. They seem to have had quite a few of those up there over the years but the term does seem very appropriate given how quickly they have crucified some of the others!
The reason this news pleases me is because the chavs have to go to St James’s Park tomorrow ahead of facing us in the first leg of our CL quarter-final next Wednesday. A week ago this looked like a pretty straightforward fixture for them but with the Shearer factor now added into the mix, their fans will be baying for blood and the tackles will be flying which could very well work out nicely for us. The other big football story I’ve heard is that apparently Man City are set to sell Shaun Wright Philips ………. to Madonna!
Anyway on to our competition and the good people at Soccerprint T-Shirts have donated a couple of prizes to the site and we’ll give one of them away for tomorrow’s game and the other one for next week’s game with Blackburn. As you will see from their website, the Soccerprint people have an extensive range of t-shirt designs in football and other categories and the quality is excellent as we only bring you the finer things here at Kopblog HQ. The pictures you see on this blog are my three favourite designs from their Liverpool section, but there are many more to choose from.
My absolute favourite is the “Old Trafford Demolition” one which, as you can see from the picture on the left, is in the same colours of the jersey we wore that day and has the scoreline and goalscorers etc. The guys at Soccerprint have told me that they had a few lads wearing that design to our game against Villa at Anfield a couple of weeks ago and it was very popular with the crowd. I will be buying one of those myself just so I can wear it into work and down in my local boozer to piss off a few manc supporters.
So what I’ve got for one lucky person is a £20 Soccerprint voucher for them to buy one or two of these great t-shirts. The format of the competition is the same as our last one so all you have to do is predict the time of the first goal in tomorrow’s game and also predict the final score. The person who gets the closest time wins the voucher and we’ll use the score-line prediction if we need a tie-breaker. In the event that the game finishes 0-0, I will keep the voucher and use it for another game.
In the interests of fairness and transparency all entries must be in the comments section of this blog, so don’t e-mail them to me or they won’t count. You can have as many guesses as you like up to when I post a “Competition Closed” message about a half hour before kick-off but only your last guess will count. So that’s it, good luck everybody and let’s hope the lads get the right result for us tomorrow and we will all be winners.
Keep the Faith

Gerry,
Top blog as ever (can’t believe that I’m first). Kuyt and amny others showed good form over the break.
Heading to Galway tomorrow to meet some friends but making sure that I get there in time for our match (2-1 to the pool) and then watch Munster beat the girls.

Good blog.. I’m going for the first goal in the 27th minute from Stevie G. Second half will see us counter sweetly and get 2 more. Torres and Dirky to get them.
We’ve had some serious roller coaster ups and downs this season. I am hoping we’ve gone through all our downs coz I don’t think I can handle anymore!

Nice Blog Gerry Lad.
It would be nice too see us sitting back on Top
of the Table come Supper time Saturday Night.
I am going for 3-0 Torres to get the First
Stevie G and Riera for the other two.
Great news having Stevie G and Dirk sign new contract extensions.
Like you said it’s good news that just about everyone came back from the Internationals injury free.
I like that 4-1 T shirt.
I would look very handsome walking around in that one.
I am turning 60 this month so my wife is treating me to a trip to my Beloved Liverpool.
We are coming over to Liverpool on the 10th of April for two weeks.
I am looking for one to two tickets for the Blackburn game on the 11th , if anyone has any leads on tickets , I would appreciate it.

I was doing a bit of tub thumping yesterday, banging the big drum for Rafa and the lads. I believe everyword I said… it’s only a matter of time before we get back on that perch. But that’a in the future. And I’m not getting cocky about today, as it has a terrible way of coming back to bite you on the arse. And I’ve also heard a few worrying injury rumours (Alonso, Masch, Aurelio, Riera) that could leave Rafa with some selection headaches for today and Wednesday.
But besides them things, I’m expecting a very hard fought battle anyway.
Fulham will be right up for this. mr. ferguson will have made sure of that. He’ll have been on the phone constantly to his mate Hodgson. But even putting that aside, I’d still expect a very tight game to be won by the odd goal, scored late on.
so, I’ll predict 0 – 1. Kuyt around the 70th/75th minute. But I don’t give a toss when, why, how, where, which… I just want 3 points.
And I really hope Hidink hasn’t been ordered to throw the towel in on the league. But Abramovich is so desperate to win the CL, I can easily see him doing that. The Messiah will be allowed his win. The Chav’s will be nicely rested and ready for Wednesday.
So, expect a long hard week ahead lads. But this is what we all wanted, so fuck it… bring ‘em on.

FS, I always look forward to these hard weeks. We spent too much time without them up until the last 4 years or so.
I hope that Alonso is OK. He will be a big loss for us if he is not fit. I think that we have more than adequate replacements for Aurelio (Insua) and Riera (Babel) but how do you replace Alonso?
If Masch is out as well…
Any type of win will do today!

While we are on the topic I see Thick’s empire is starting to unravel. I know it does not directly affect us but come the summer he will default again if he is already defaulting on his USA sports franchise. The writing could be on the wall for our illustrious owners maybe we can get somebody who can match Raf’s ambition that stays in the background and lets the Boss get on with it.

We’ve dominated without even looking that good or fluid.

Dossena did well today. Ryan Babel comes on for the Italian.
I think that was fulham’s first shot on target today.
That was a tackle from behind on Babel then. Why no yellow card from Bennett?

GERRIN! Skeat the Double for sure.
I didn’t even go there in here, but I’ve been telling my mates for months, that I just had a funny feeling, even through Dec/Jan, that we would take the Prem on goal diff and win the CL. They thought I was nuts, but they are now joining my cult!
That performance was about 70/75% capability… you could see they were all shagged from In’tl duty, but the good mood and spirit was still there.
It should well have been 5 or 6-0, nevermind winning it in the 94th, so we’ll take it… and fuck off anyone who says we were lucky.
We were decidedly unlucky not to have wrapped this one up in the first 30 minutes.
Benny emphasizing once again, that he might not be a big strong lad, but he is just invaluable!
Just a few minutes prior to scoring, he did a John Barnes, redirecting a wayward SG shot with a little back-heel-flick, that only just trickled wide of the post.
When he’s in this kind of form, we just have to find a way to play him more… such a clever little player!
Come on VILLA, you midland Beauties!

Hopefully now we can beat Chelsea in the cl and get some momentum going but the main aim is to get Torres firing on all cylinders he’s the key if he starts scoring for fun anythings possible.also l would like to see benayoun starting the home games in place of kuyt I think he gives us more offensively than dirk. This is not the time to be thinking defensively.not that im suggesting the boss is thinking this way.he has proven to all doubters that he can put out attacking teams.who would have thought we would be ahead on goal difference at this stage of the season.we are lucky to have rafa and i think if the funds are available we kick even more arse next season and move on to another level but we need to spend at least 50 million .keep it real

Lady luck seems to be playing games with us this season and when i think
back over the season she hasn’t been that kind to us, well that and a few
dodgy decisions by our friends with the whistle.Anybody notice Bennet give
us a free kick today when Pepe put Torres through when he clearly should
have played advantage and Torres would have definitely scored
Anyway all’s well that ends well, lets hope we see Ferguscum crack up
tomorrow with a nice win for Villa.
Timmy you was right about that Black apalachi in the National shame the
jockey couldn’t stay on.
FS Read your comment 92 on the last blog, which was a little annoying to
say the least .The only thing i have ever doubted is the integrity of the FA
and the “Favours” they give the Scum .
And when Rafa gave everyone “The Facts” i f*cking loved it because he was
the only manager who had the balls to say what i have been saying for years
The 1 time Rafa / Team annoyed me was Villa away 0-0 but i didn’t mention it
at the time.

Nice blog Gerry, very funny.
Great competition!
My predictions for the game is:
Fulham 0 Liverpool 1 Benny to score in 90+ min
Ball to hit the goal post 4 times in the first half, Steve Bennett to call back every free kick Liverpool take, me to nearly have a heart attack, put my back out leaping off the sofa and loose my voice!
How’s that for a prediction then?
Well done to whoever won the vouchers!

Watched hilights on RTE, BBB and Sky last night (I do have a life!), and to me the performance was better than the Villa Game, ignore the scoreline a minute, the football and chances we created in the first half was outstanding, I am sure people were less than pleased that Dosser was starting on the left, and he hit the crossbarr twice and had another saved.
Earlier in the season the like of Benny and Babbel were making sounding about not getting enough games, we know R. Keane had a huge problem with it. But I am sure they can see now they are part of something that much bigger than the amount of minutes you spend on the pitch.
A draw today with couple more red cards will do me just fine! G Barry better show today why Rafa wanted to sign him!
Oh last thing, Ray Houghton said last night Alex needs to stop rotating like he has being doing over the last few Weeks, it’s amazing how quickly thing change.

So Benny must be back in Rafa’s good books now then?
I didn’t think Benny was fit to play any part yesterday, but obviously delighted he did. Credit to Rafa for realising that Benny could still make a difference even though he was struggling with a calf injury and for putting him on even though he wouldn’t have been best pleased with him for playing For Israel twice in four days when he really should have been resting.
Like you guys, I really did think with 10 minutes left that it just wasn’t going to be our day, I couldn’t believe how unlucy we were, The Yossi back heel just took the piss, it was so unlucky!
Schwartzer (I think that’s how you spell it!) is a fucking jinx to us, even when he was at Middlesborough we struggled to put the ball past him. Yossi, you beauty and what a precious 3 points.
I thought Lucas (yes, Lucas) had a good game yesterday, the best to date IMHO, and this bodes well, because we will be without Masch again on Wednesday.
I would like to see Skrtel getting a rest against Chelsea and Dagger get a start. I think he would be just about ready for a game of this magnitude now.
I believe Villa can get a draw at Old Toilet today, and if they do we will have wrestled the advantage away from the Mancs. I know they will be only 1 point behind with a game in hand, but it is in the heart and mind where they will suffer if they don’t win again today. They have injuries and suspensions and if Villa can keep Ladyboy quiet, I think they could get at least a draw.
Dare we dream for a Villa win???
Well done you Redmen, and come on the Villa, FFS!!

Seems I’ve upset a couple of people by giving credit to somebody. fuck me, you just can’t win in here sometimes. Get a grip. I know Keith isn’t the only one who has supported Rafa. But the lad has done it consistently even in the darkest times. So yes lads, I do think he was worth a pat on the back. Nothing wrong with that.
On to more important things… just been watching mr ferguson on the telly. What a bitter old bastard. Oh well, at least his team reflect him and now referees aren’t being less intimated by them, we might hopefull see a few more bookings and maybe a red with a bit of luck.
The tramp can deny the pressure all he likes, people are seeing through it. The silly old bastard is even blaming the press for losing them games. Said all the hype had gone to their heads. Funny that, I can remember the old bacon faced fucker going on about how great his squad is…. “This is my best squad ever!”
Senility setting in?
Gary Neville is having to play at center half today. Villa are already pressuring him. Come on Carew lad, wreck him.
And if anyone is at home watching telly, Fatty Micky Quinn is doing the match report on Sly Sports News. Funny as fuck. He fucking hates them. Good lad Micky.

Villa got what they deserved today. FUCK ALL.
When they went ahead they quit playing and started to defend too deep. When it went 2-2 they started to play again but defended like pricks and on the numerous occasions, when they had excellent counter-attacking opportunities, either played to ball too early or passed it to a manc.
Very very disappointing but it goes to show you that you can really get at the mancs now and other teams are giving it a go.
A bitter blow but it’s not over yet!

The Scum have let in 8 goals in 3 games now, so yeah, indeed teams are beginning to have a go at the Scum.
The next 5 league games will have us playing before the Scum, as long as we do our job (including the crucial Arsenal one), we’ll keep on piling pressure on them.
At the rate they’re playing, I simply do not believe the Scum will not lose point at some point during these games.
Similarly, at the rate we’re playing, I’m quite confident we’ll take full points and be ready to capitalize anytime.
I’m trying to keep things as positive as possible. Because it’s not over till it’s over. Now we’ll watch and see if Porto can take advantage of these weaknesses, or if they’re as crap as, if not worse then, Villa.
That said, BRING ON THE CHAVS!

Kinny am a bit confused about the scum porto tie. its natural to support porto, almost blasphemous to even think about a scum victory, but theres this nagging thought in my head that a scum v arsenal (hopefully) semi final might prove to be a good distraction. of course that leaves the scums only 3 games away from the champions league, but worth the risk?

Hopefully Porto will realise how they can set about them now. The Toffees hammered Wigan today. Hopefully Moyes won’t kiss arse and put in his application for the tramp’s job at Wembley.
I know it’s not league games, but every knock they take can only help us. Besides which, I fucking hate them and hate seeing them win even the toss up before the game.
Old Nick will soon be calling on mr ferguson and taking the soul he bought a long time ago. So, even if they win the superdooper quintuplet of the world galaxy and universe, none of this has changed my mind… the tide is turning. It won’t be long. But it’s still not over. They still have to play better teams than Villa. And Arsenal are going to have a big say in this. Can’t you see Wenger plotting the tramp’s downfall. I can.

Obviously the result was disheartening, but it was the manner of the result that should worry us.
Scum were looking well shaken. Fungus looked for all the world like he was feeling the pressure, he didn’t even celebrate the equalizer…. but he sure did the winner, coz he knows what a psychological boost this victory will be.
They were a clearly rattled squad after recetn results and if they’d lost this 2-1 it would have piled ont he pressure.
The press will tuen again now with all the “mark of champions” bollocks!
I agree with FS, I don’t want Scum to beat Porto, but it would probably be best for us if they did and then the Arse knocked them out. But lets hope it takes extra time in the 2nd leg away in Porto for them to do it… and some cards and injuries would be fitting, especially to Ladyboy.
Oh and as far as Manc Reilly goes, it was an interesting performance by him wasn’t it. He waved away an aweful lot of penalty requests and edge of box fouls… very unlike him at the Toilet!
Rafa’s Rant planted and now bearing more fruit (albeit not in the final result!)

The psychological lift they will get would surley drive them on Aitch.
A draw or loss today would have had a detremental effect on their confidence. But they squeed out the win and we can`t complain too much about the late goal because we did it yesterday.
They will surley think they`ve had their blip now and will cruise to thr title.
As i said before,i`m confident we can do our job i ust hope they start to belive the hype that will start again from tonight on.
United know they`re in a fight even though there dumb ass operation old toilet clean-out supporters will never admit it.
They were starting to leave again today 15 minutes from the end when they were two one down. The same people will be dancing in the pubs saying they love their club till they die…makes me sick.

Saw the Villa game and was absolutely gutted. Number of things pissed me off, Villa Defending was shite and they just sat too deep after going 2-1 up.
Friedel was terrible, he was the slowest to react to everything. Usually keepers are alert and anticipate situations and when they occur they deal with them, others see the situation occuring and they automatically deal with it. In Friedels case, he sees that he has to come out and clear it, but he stands there for 3 seconds and then makes his move.
Lastly, Where the fuck did they get 5 minutes from?? Sure the equiliser was in the 3rd minute, but psychologically when you know you have 5 minutes you tend to be calmer. If you had 1 minute you would just be forcing everything.

Oh well, what can you do.
Of course it gets more unlikely with each passing game but it’s still not over. Hopefully teams will see that they are still rattled and will keep going for them. A better team would have finished them off today. They will face better teams before the season ends.
So off to bed. But no Timmy mate, I got begger all out of it and I’d think the only ones who got any luck at Aintree would be the bastard bookies. But I never bet much on the National. Up until the wanker equaliser, I was having another weekend of my dreams.
The mancs were shite, but Villa were pathetic. And half of their players had got a good rest for ffs. Rafa gave them the equations to solve the mancs, and the mancs were having a second rated defense, and yet why the fuck were villa pulling back after 2-1. absolutely shite defending. No wonder why they struggle. Idiots of the highest quality. I hope the lad who quoted that Martin Knobhead was showing the way in here is stuffing his mouth. Shambolic performance from the london club.
Oh well, 7 more games to keep on hoping.
I hope the schedule reshuffle that fungus did goes back to haunt him. I don’t know why the media are saying that drawing porto was easy, cos I don’t think it is that simple. I hope they get bitch-slapped by the portugese.

Hard to complain about a 93rd minute winner for the Mancs when we needed one ourselves to get past Fulham. But fuck me, what a crucial goal that was for them. However, as bhav says, it’s not all over by a long shot. The Mancs have got a pretty easy run-in but I am putting Arsenal down to do the double on them this season, so they only need to drop points in one other game. If we keep winning and putting the pressure on, that’s more than possible – let’s hope that their game in hand against Portsmouth is a fucking freezing, wet dreary day and peters out to a 0-0. Of course hopefully our boys can keep that pressure up by winning every game, should be interesting anyway.
I can live with the Mancs getting past Porto, just as long as Porto give them a real good run for their money and force them to play full strength teams in both legs.

Hyde, i counted 3 times. I think it was Agbonlahor twice and young once. The linesman seemed to be a metre behind play and from that angle couldnt judge it properly. Even if Villa had not scored from those 3 attempts it would have pushed the united defence deeper.
Besides the 5min extra time etc What pisses me off is Riley books a Villa player for arguing with the ref, yet United players are allowed to go on with it constantly.

Still coming to terms with Villa’s loss yesterday. I thought they had enough good chances to score atleast 3-4 goals. Its all over for them as far as 4th place is concerned.
Macheda’s strike was brilliant but as someone pointed out earlier, Friedel was slow. Villa gifted the first goal.
As far as our match against Chavs is concerned, Fergusson has started playing mind games saying whoever wins that tie will be the real contender. The entire stadia yesterday were so nervous when the home team was loosing. Still that old man does not understand that LFC are their main challengers.
I think if we deny Chelsea an away goal, we will go through. Last time we lost because of that Riise own goal.

Villa pissed me off, it felt more like a loss for us.
Goal difference could be so important, and that is the reason why Rafa said we should of got more goals in our 5-0 win over Villa. He was right, it should have been at least 7 and he was right to make the point, even after the elation of a good victory!
We need to win all remaining 7 games and hope the Mancs draw 2 games. we can probably get a few goals against Newcastle and West Brom. Keep believing Reds, keep believing.

“fergie time” is what I call injury time for manc games. You can guarantee it will always be at least 5 mins no matter what happens unless of course they are winning in which case the whistle will come almost on time. Martin O’neil bottled it yesterday, tried to go defensive when the key is keep on the attack against the mancs. I want Porto to beat them, I want manure out of the champions league asap, they make me sick, just the sight of their shirt makes me want to vomit. If somebody tells me they support manure I immediately take a dislike to them(not nice I know). They are so full of themselves and so ungracious.

Clearly Lady luck did not smile on us this weekend otherwise we would have twatted Fulham 4 or 5 zip and the Mancs would have drawn at the very least. However look on the bright side, we are playing the best football out of everybody and the best I have seen this team play on a consistent basis and that shows how much we have improved and how far we have come this year. Yes FS the tide has defiantly turned and to use Diggers famous phrase, every man and his dog knows it including Mr Fungus.
It is not over by a long shot, they still have to win their remaining 8 games and hats of to them if they do (over 90 points) but I cannot see them doing it, all we need is two draws. There is still going to be a major twist before the end of the season. Our pivotal games will be Arsenal and Wet Spam away and there’s will be the derby and Arsenal. Although on this performance they might struggle with a few of the other games as well know that they are showing signs of being less than invincible. The teams fighting to avoid relegation will now that if they put themselves about they can take points from them.
Don’t write of Porto, remember what Benfica did to us, I would really like to see them get hammered by Porto just to really knock them and I am with you Redscouse I cannot stand it if they win the toss.
Keep the faith guys Viva the Rafaluation.

Yes the Blackburn game is the most important one in the league simply because its the next match and we need to win it.
Getting past Chelsea will give us the belief but i am just worried about the fitness of the players. Asuming we win against the Chavs, we face Barca which means 4 high voltage games against top quality opposition. That will take a lot out of us. After the Chavs tie, we have Arsenal coming in mid week.
I agree with some of the comments posted. I just cannot stand those people from Manchester. The way they were making faces in front of the camera after the goal was disgusting. That Macheda kissed the camera and the Martin Tyler(Skysports) says ” “What Gerrard can do, Macheda can do too”. Those actions just proved that they were ready for those gestures in the event of winning the match.
Sunderland and Portsmouth are two games which is easy on paper for them. Around the same time we are playing Blackburn and Arsenal. So its important we win the next two matches and hope that they slip atleast once.
Manchester United’s dominance must end. I believe it will. Hail Rafa for what has been achieved so far. Its just amazing.

“Hating the mancs even when they win the toss.”
Classic!! And so true.
But do you know what, I hate fungusface even more than the mancs, and that has nothing to do with the fact that the mancs have won under him. If the mancs had someone like Wenger or Capello in charge, I think that I would be able to stand them a little bit more than I do now. That arrogance, the cockiness, the bullying that goes on on the pitch, the playground footy that they do– it’s all due to that old git. Thank god, we have a decent man at the helm.
I bet you that someone like FS started hating the mancs after the arrival of fungus (and possibly all the commercialism that followed) because of his character, not because of his record.
Hope he ends his career miserably.

Hyde mate, I’ve hated Man U since I could stand up. I think it’s inborn in us. It never used to be this bitter and nasty, but I have always hated them.
I don’t hate Mancs though. I’ve met some good people from there and some have been good friends. But that was in me travelling days and I’ve lost contact with them. But no matter how decent them people are, don’t get round a crowd of them when the footy’s on.
I’ve never said this in here before but fuck it…
When I was 12 I was going to see us play them at Anfield. I had to work on the Saturday morning so I was on my own and was going to meet my mates at the ground.
I took a few short cuts and cut through some back alleys near the ground. I walked around a corner slap bang, right into a crowd of them. I don’t know how many but it must have been at least 30, all grown men.
To cut a long story short… they kicked me into a coma which I was in for 3 days. My head had huge swellings on the front and back. It was touch and go for a day or so, and I mightn’t have been here except luckily someone cut through the same alley, found me and got help.
And it wasn’t just one or two of them that the others couldn’t stop. My clothes were covered from head to toe in every colour boot polish and sole marks where they’d stamped on me. Charming people, eh.
But as I said, I hated them a long time before that. And this is also truth, years after that, me and a few mates stopped a City fan getting battered by a load of young Scouse savages that had cornered him, even though they threatened to do us for stopping them. It was bad in them days.
But you’re right in one thing… I hate them now probably more than ever. I think the whole institution is rotten. And it flows from the tramp at the top. But that won’t matter much longer. The writing is on the wall. They won’t fall to bits over night but I’m convinced they will start to go down from here.
Ferguson will leave very soon, maybe even the end of this season. He knows we are going to overhaul them eventually and he’s far to arrogant to let that happen on his shift. It’s been the best known secret in Liverpool for years… he is getting ready to bring in Moyes. Who is a great manager, but he won’t be able to bully the FA, referees and other manager’s in the way old Bacon Face does.
The playing field will be a lot more level whoever takes over from the rotten old bastard. But the tramp already knows the odds aren’t quite so much in his favour as in the past, and we all know what bully’s do when it comes to a fair fight… run and hide.

Its sad to know about the events described by you FatScouser.
The David Moyes thig is quite interesting.. I was under the impression that Martin O Niell will be the successor but it sounds natural to bring someone who is managing successfully a rival club of us.
Even the comments made by Wayne rooney are so disturbing. He keeps on talking about hating LFC and all that crap. I think F####fusion will go when he get’s probably the 19th league title. It can be stopped this season given the way we are playing.
For the time being i think it is very important not to read too much into Fergusson’s mind games. What we have already achieved is amazing, we just need to back our coach and team and be confident that we will win the remaining games.
For the time being thats what matters. New players, New deal, new owners can all take a back seat. Winning each game…showing the world what desire we have.

Hyde, you think as I do.
While there does indeed exist an enmity between Liverpool and the Scum since time immemorial, it is Ferguscum that escalated all the hate and disrespect.
I remember reading back in the 1960s when our great Shanks got along really well with Matt Busby (who himself played for Liverpool long ago).
Whatever happened to the mutual respect back then? First thing Ferguscum did after coming on was spitting on Liverpool and threatening to “knock them off their fucking perch”. This revealed him to be the tasteless twat that he was and will continue to be.
I know a few older Scum-supporting relatives of mine, they’ve been supporting them since George Best was still around, and they were relatively decent folk (forgive my blasphemy), compared to the prawn sandwich brigade fed with the lies of Sly Sports that we see today.
Ever since Ferguscum came on, their whole fan culture became corrupted with his arrogance, his ignorance and his contempt for everything that is right about football.
I am SO going to rub it in when Rafa does accomplish the difficult but not impossible task of bringing no.19.
And (massive touching of wood as I type this blasphemy) even if the worst does happen, simply utter the numbers “1-4″ to them, and they will soon realize that this is but a Pyrrhic Victory (go google up if you don’t understand that term) for them, for as FS have said, the tides have now truly turned for our favour – We are on the ascendency, and they are on the rot. Not just for this season, but for the coming years.

If Man U win the title this year, they will equal us on 18 and I think the tramp will stay on and try to finally knock us off our perch. And if they win it this year, I think he will persuade Ronaldo to stay and probably spend another 50 million on a few top notch players to make sure they have every chance of winning number 19. But if we manage to somehow stop them this year, that will mean they will again need 3 more to overtake our record. I don’t think he has the steam left in him to try that.
If you look at him when they was 1 – 2 down, he was beaten and shaken. The man has a fantastic record that can’t be denied, but he isn’t some genius. He was absolutely flumoxed yesterday. What on earth was he doing playing Neville at Centre back against Carew?
You could say he didn’t fancy Neville up against speedy wingers, but surely it was safer to have a proper centre half at center half to stop the giant Carew than worry about Neville not being able to stop the supply.
I don’t want to be ungracious like the man himself. As I say, his record is fantastic. I would probably love him and excuse all his nastiness if he had managed us. But there is no denying he’s a nasty piece of work and his team are built in his image. I think Rafa should have another rant right now, starting with “Fergie Time” and the mystery of the 5 minutes extra. We have to keep the pressure on them and the referees who haven’t got the nerve to do their jobs when up against them?
Had that been reversed yesterday and Villa were at home needing a goal against them would they have got that extra 5 minutes?
Burgerman – we had no money in January. The Keane money will arrive in the summer and make the bulk of any budget Rafa will have. Thank god the man had the cojones to make the decision.
Chelsea won’t be better unless they spend huge. They have a rapidly aging squad but will Abramovich be prepared to throw in more multi millions in these times? I doubt it.
Arsenal will be very good next year. I’ve been saying this all season, but the football you are seeing from them right now will be what we will face next season. That’s only good for the game and believe it or not – us. We haven’t the resources to be the only ones fighting the Mancs just yet.
As for the kids they are starting to come through. You will see them when the time is right.
January… simple – no Torres and Gerrard, or one without the other and always carrying a knock.
All problems that will be fixed. In fact, we only have one worry, but it’s the biggest of them all… The Borrowers, when will they fuck off, who will take over, how will they run the club?

Burgerman- Keep the faith as Gerry says.
A lot depends upon how we play against Chelsea. We win the game and i am sure the momentum will continue on saturday against Blackburn.
We need Sunderland to play well. Take a point off Utd will be high on spirit after yesterdays win. Contrary to many who want them to be out in CLeague against Porto, i think its better for us if they go ahead. That means more games for them and a possible clash with Arsenal. I honestly believe that the winner of CL this season will be from our part of the draw. It can be Barca,Us or Chelsea.
Regarding next season, FatScouser is right. Chelsea cannot rebuild the whole team in one season. Arsenal will be the ones who will be stepping up. Manchester City will probably compete with Aston Villa for 5-6th place. We will get better. I think Barry will come to Liverpool provided Rafa wants him.

Whatever we pointed out about ManU applies to us too. We had injuries too. And if you see how many match winners they have compared to us, i think we did a far better job. We have managed to challenge for the title and its the month of april.
Just look at the financial muscle of ManU. Regarding striking options, i dont think scoring goals has been a problem for us. The games we drew or lost are the ones where we didnt press our opponents much. So given the number of match winners we have and the span of their injuries i think we did a great job.
We will win the big one. We need to make sure onething and thats winning each and every game coming our way.

Burgerman: Degan was a free transfer he didn’t cost us. Manure would have struggled a lot more if teams actually turned up to play the team and not the name. a lot of teams are already beaten before they go out on the pitch. If there’s one thing that winds me up it’s teams playing playing with 11 men behind the ball offering no threat in attack but not pressing the manure players and allowing them time to pick their pass. play defensivley by all means but you have to put pressure on.
I hate manure always have always will and I mean seriously hate. As regards mancs I get on alright with them as people but I can’t talk footy because they haven’t got a clue and they have very short and selective memories and I’d end up in a fight.

FS, thanks for sharing that story– it must have been really hard even trying to type that one in. I am sorry that it happened. I do hope that that is not what the mancs in general are made of.
I hate the mancs, as well, always, none more so when the majority of my peers do not understand the value and integrity of a club and just support the mancs or chavs because they have been successful recently.
ANd I do agree the record that fungusface has is impressive, but i think people are giving him too much credit. Everything, right up to the timing of how football began to become such a big business, was going for him. On top of that, you have that vile of a character, and there’s no way you can call him the best manager in english football. Disgusting. And not because he is a manc manager. As kinny riddle rightly says, Matt Busby was a better man (and a better manager, in my view) and although the rivalry must have been intense back then, I can still only imagine it to have beem within the boundaries of mutual respect.
The fact that fungusface allows and backs baboonface to speak such ill towards lfc itself shows what the old git is made of. He probably took a lot of personal pleasure out of apeboy’s comments.
Compare that to what Cahill has recently said in an interview. He said that he will never play for liverpool, but that it was not out of disrespect for us, but more out of respect for Everton. That’s called healthy rivalry.
Damn Fungusface and everything he stands for.
And burgermen, I have totally gone off arguing with you mate but, sorry, you just make no sense whatsoever. The fact that you bring up Jo as if he is a missed signing is bad enough (putting aside the fact that you conveniently forget we had no money), but your reference to the mancs also having had injuries and suspensions and being top totally misses the point. Have you actually ever compared our squad to theirs when stating that point?? Why not look at the fact that despite all our injuries and suspensions (which, the latter are few, thanks in no small part to Rafa’s warnings to our players), we are still well and truly in the title race and are the only ones who are actually giving them a run for their money????
Oh, and FS’ explanation has made me understand why Fungus has always been so quick to praise Moyes. Everything he does is so pathetic.

bad end to the weekend, but the most pleasing aspect for me this weekend was the fact that our football was still of a high standard, and at times a very high standard.
An international break and tired players but still we played expansive and attacking football.
Lets not forget that this season was always about whether we were improving and the Fulham game, I think showed that we are still on course in our efforts to be a dominant force.
Was taught to hate the Mancs, but Fergie makes it so much easier

The travelling Kop wouldn’t leave Craven cottage despite repeated requests from the officials. The team couldn’t do their usual warm down after the game for fear they would have stayed even longer. Now that’s support not like the prawn sandwich brigade who empty the theatre of wet dreams quicker than a fart in a lift.

Yeah a mate told me about that Kenny, they stayed singing and chanting for an hour after the game, apparently the players were blown away. Now they’re supporters. Did you hear the mancs chanting ‘fuck off scouser’ at Barry yesterday? Or were they just shouting fuck of scousers in general? Jesus H. what a shower of losers, Barry hasn’t even signed for us and probably wont and they still ripped on him all game, sad. Man I was so angry yesterday, today I’m just pissed off. Maybe a beer after work will help!

Digger The Mancs were calling/chanting at Barry “You Murdering Scouse Bastard” throughout the game. They sung anti Scouse songs constantly (as they always do) while they was singing instead of backing their own team. They then stopped singing all together and only started when they clawed a goal back. Small time bastards, they are. WTF – they even had some silly chant about Alan Shearer.
As for the travelling Kop…
I could have went to Fulham. I’m so sorry I didn’t. Me mate called me from inside the ground, well after the game had finished. It was great. The singing was booming, and it sounded like one huge happy party. Apparently, it took 40 minutes to clear us out. Did anybody see the Torres bounce on telly? It was immense. Looked like a small Kop back in the old days.
Can you imagine when do win it? There’s no way on god’s good green earth that I am missing that.
They wouldn’t allow the team on the pitch to warm down and they stood in the tunnel, watching and singing along with the fans.
There was a story in one newspaper this morning, the Express I think but I’m not sure. The headline was something along the lines of, “Rafa reveals his own team’s weakness.”
It went onto say something like, “Not only happy to expose Manchester United’s achiles heel, Rafa Benitez has revealed his own team’s shortcomings”…
Benitez – “Yes. They are really bad singers.”
Daft little story, but it shows the spirit is back and really strong. So, let’s hope that feeling lasts and the players fight to the end for them people. I know them people will be there on Wednesday, giving it their all for the players.
As for me own daft story earlier, it didn’t bother me in the slightest. When I came round me Mam sent me the shops to get her ciggies. Me mates were playing footy by the shops. The ball came over, I headed it and was knocked out cold again.
No big deal. You know what they say… Where there’s no sense, there’s no feeling.

PS… I think I said this yesterday but can’t be arsed checking back.
Westerday, I had Sly Sports News on. Mickey Quinn was doing the in match comments on the Mancs game. It was hilarious. Mickey absolutely hates them. He ragged them every time they went to him for a report.
When Villa went 2 – 1 ahead, they went for a comment and had to wait ages for Mickey to stop laughing. And even then he still kept on bursting out laughing.
He slammed their fans for their silence and for obsessing about Liverpool and Scousers. You could see how annoyed the Sly reporter was getting. He’s probably one of them.
When United finally went ahead 3 – 1 he went back to Mickey and smugly said… Well they seem to be singing now.
Mickey said… “Yeah. It looks like they’ve finally put away their sandwiches and decided to support their team.”
You should have seen the reporter’s face. Brilliant. Good lad, Mickey.
But we all know how crap they are. Did you see the tramp trying to gee them up after half time? And surely no one will ever forget their karaoke against us a few weeks back.

Do you know that the only big flag they have got was paid for by the club and is waved by their match day stewards. And I kid you not… the stewards actually had lessons in how to get out the flag, pass it over the fans and collect it back in. It just kills me that ferguson can get away with starting a 17 yr old reserve with 0 experience in the biggest game of the season, as well as playing neville at CB, 2 moves that would get rafa crucified if he ever tried them, and now the media is going on about how daring it was, and how ferguson knows exactly how to inspire his side.
If villa didn’t look like they were about to piss their pants in the last 10 mins then they would have held on. They are still far away from the top 4. You could see the fear in their eyes at the end of the game, they didn’t have the balls to try and kill it off. No way arse, chelski, or us would start shaking in our boots in that situation—especially not against 2 strikers that haven’t hit puberty yet!
That goal was absolutely sickening. For me it was probably the most upsetting goal since that riise OG a yr ago.

Worse still, the sports editors here are mostly mancs who help fuel the propaganda machine by constantly giving editorial space to the scum articles.
But unfortunately, come end of the season, we’ll probably have to listen to these tossers talk more shite, especially if they fooking manage to do the quintuple.

Thank you very much YAW, but you’ve definetely got it wrong….
HUMBLE! You should have seen the way I was carrying on after we done the Mancs the other week. 5 of us, all fat 50 odd year old grand-dads ready to take on a pub full of Mancs. Dancing round, singing songs old and new, taking the piss, generally acting like silly old bastards. It was hilarious at the time, but thank god me grandkids never seen me. I’d have never lived down the embarrasement.
As for the voucher. Thanks very much but please keep it yourself, mate. As Alec said they don’t make them in marquee size and the frieght charges on something that size are frightening. But jokes aside please keep it yourself mate and wear it with pride.
As for the tramp’s genius tic-tacs in the last game, you’re spot on…
it was all done out of pure desperation and he got it all wrong.
But you have to give credit where credit’s due. They have pulled these results out for years. We used to. I couldn’t even begin to remember half the amount of games we won in the last few minutes during the glory years. And as happy as it made us – we broke some hearts and hopes over the years. 25 years we lauded it over them, and I loved it.
But as I’ve been saying recently… I’m now a lot more comfortable in me own skin because I know it’s only a matter of time before we take our perch in England back and also regain our place at the head of European football.
It’s not some knee jerk reaction to some great results. It’s faith in the steady building process that Rafa has done over the last five years. The signs have been there for a long time. But it’s now about to bear fruit, and just a little more patientce, time and investment and we will be seeing a new extended period of success.
It won’t be some flash in the pan. It won’t be a few trophies and back into mediocrity. It will be a period of domination to rival the glory years.
What makes me so sure? Well, I’ve seen it happen before. All me old mates have seen it before and they feel the same way. You can see that mr ferguson has also seen the writing on the wall, and he doesn’t like it one bit. But far more importantly, Rafa has not only seen it before – he’s done it all before. And I’m convinced, all the shite he has to deal with from within and without the club, will only make him more determined to achieve it all again.
So keep the faith lads…
Even if we win nothing this year, it’s only a matter of time.
PS… Puchong Red, as much as he wants the job, Moyes will not let Everton lay down. It’s just a shame he has got the toffees playing some decent football. I wish it was still The Old Dogs Of War side the Mancs had to play. Nevermind a couple of young lads, they’d be having to play their academy side after that lot had finished with them.

Agger in midfield? No thanks mate. Kuyt will play on the right. Paul thomkins gives an interesting fact about Kuyt and his ten goals this season, that every single goal has been a matchwinner, no consolation goals or the fifth in a 5-0 win all crucial goals so he will defo start as well as his ability to defend from the front.
Our reserve/youth players are starting to come through and will either give us a healthy profit when we sign them or go into the first team.
The lad who scored the winner for the mancs scored a beauty alright but lets see where he is in a years time before we get carried away.

KDLFCL, i agree. all this hype is outrageous over this kid. i expected it, but its kinda silly at this point. yes he scored a good goal, but its not like owen scoring against argentina back in the day.
hes had a great week of scoring a few goals, but the reality is that he is going to have a long way to go to even break into the united team, let alone score more goals for them. at least i think…maybe slur alex will “gamble” enough to play him ahead of berbatov. i’d love to see that.

i meant to add to the owen/argentina goal that owen had been scoring goals left and right for us at LFC leading up to that, it wasn’t a one off thing. so the clamor that rose at the world cup was understandable and justified, as it was the arrival of a true star. just like rooney at euro 2004.

“Rafael Benitez has accused Sir Alex Ferguson of being scared of Liverpool and talking too much about other teams.
The Spaniard, who is preparing for the Champions League showdown with Chelsea tomorrow, could not resist another swipe at the Manchester United manager as the Barclays Premier League race reaches boiling point.
Benitez was responding to claims from Ferguson that the loser of the Liverpool-Chelsea quarter-final will then be United’s biggest challenger for the title because they will only have one competition to contend with. Benitez will have skipper Steven Gerrard fit following a minor groin problem and Sami Hyypia [knee] and Yossi Benayoun [hamstring] available for the first leg with Chelsea.
But the fierce battle with United for the domestic title is clearly Benitez’s driving inspiration.
“It is not mind games, I think it maybe is that he is a little bit scared [of us],” Benitez said.
Liverpool took over at the top of the table on Saturday evening with a late winner by Benayoun at Fulham. But less than 24 hours later, United produced a stunning comeback victory over Aston Villa with the decisive goal coming in the fourth minute of injury-time from 17-year-old Federico Macheda.
That grabbed the initiative back for the Old Trafford club, but Benitez has come out fighting.
“I do not have a problem with United. Clearly one of us, either Chelsea or us, will end up focusing just on the Premier League after this,” he said. “I think Sir Alex will be supporting Liverpool in this tie because he knows we are the bigger threat now.
“If we continue in the Champions League maybe he will think we are tired. If we are not in this competition then he knows that we will be a [bigger] threat in the Premier League.
“If Chelsea are not in the competition, then he knows they will then be a threat also in the league. But he will lose anyway, whoever goes out, because they will still be a big threat to United.
“You have to prepare well for every single Premier League game, it is tough (to be in the Champions League as well). So he will clearly be supporting us tomorrow and next week.
“I would like to be worried about both competitions, it means we will continue to be successful. We just concentrate on our team, while he likes to talk too much about other teams.”
Benitez claims he was unmoved by United’s late heroics against Villa, saying: “We knew there would be situations like this, with us one point ahead, or one point behind. And everyone knows five minutes [of injury time] at Old Trafford is a very long time.
“I watched the game, but once United scored their second you felt they would win the game.
“He [Ferguson] is in the driving seat now and in a better position, but there is still a long way to go and we have confidence. We are pushing them and we will push them until the end.”
But before Liverpool can lock horns again with United, they must face a Chelsea side who knocked them out of this competition in the semi-finals last season. A John Arne Riise own goal in the first-leg at Anfield ultimately put Liverpool out, Chelsea winning 4-3 on aggregate after the second leg at Stamford Bridge .
Benitez said: “It is not a good time for either of us to be playing the other. It is a big challenge for both teams. They have a good team with experience and a manager with experience. This game is 50-50.
“I have great respect for a massive club and a very good team. We are both playing in big competitions. We are both big teams.
“We have beaten them twice this season in the league, it will give us confidence, but this is a different competition and it will be down to just one or two mistakes.
“Keeping a clean sheet is important in the first game for both teams, I would prefer to play at Anfield second, but that is not the case so we must get on with it.”

Basically telling Ferguscum to fuck off and mind his fucking business, which he never does anyway. A more subtle snipe than the Special Needs One accusing Wenger of being a voyeur.
“And everyone knows five minutes (of injury time) at Old Trafford is a very long time.”

knight, most of the Scum fans I see in Manchester are usually overseas student studying in Manchester University.
I should know, because I used to study there myself. The university student council would even sell City tickets then.
I had originally wanted to study at Liverpool, but Manchester provided better facilities for the course that I wanted to study, so it was a matter of convenience. (Though in the end, my current job had fuck all to do with my “Mickey Mouse” course. :p )
(To Hyde: Manchester also had an excellent Japanese learning centre, where I first learned my Japanese there. )
Despite being amongst the enemy for 4 years, my loyalty remained unwavered. It was quite funny whenever any distant relative or friends heard that I studied in Manchester, they would ask “City or United?” And I would promptly reply, “Liverpool!”

BTW, I wonder where Porto ever got the idea that you need to attack manure and try to limit their possession.
Makes you wonder

united look absolute shite. porto should be leading by 3 or 4 goals. of course united are gifted a goal like always…great awareness by rooney, but its astounding some of the jammy goals they get.

I went to Porto away. It was a wonderful place – lovely city, great ground, lovely friendly people. Cut a long story short – after the game, instead of going back to where all the lads where, down by the river, I ended up on a local housing estate,(a poor gaff) with ordinary working people, in a local bar, singing until 3 in the morning with the locals. It was a great night. And it was one of my best European trips of all time. If you ever have chance to go to Porto, I recommend it highly.
LFC fans have a great affiniation with Porto fans. We also have a bond with many other European clubs. We even have a close ties with Atletico fans. When I was in Atleti, we got locked behind for the streets to clear, the way you do. When we came outside, the Atleti fans were waiting for us… not to fight. We sang and drank into the night together.
I love them trips. I don’t go on holidays. they are my holidays. And as I said, Porto was one of my all time favourites in over 35 years of making these trips. I have never met more friendly and hospitable people.
Do you remember what happened when Man U visited there?
Right that’s it. I’m not commenting on them bastards anymore. Obsessing on us, is their territory. And I’m watching Arsenal cos I can’t be arsed with them.
COME ON PORTO!

Just there lck. They`re playing shite.Look tired.
Bacon face(BTW good one FS) said the winning goal has galvanised his team, well if he thinks thats galvanised i`ll have that every time because there`s no way they`ll win all there games from here on in.
FS,When you called Rafa the Don while ago it reminded me of something.Monday morning i came into work a bit down over the united result.A fellow red approached me and showed me the wallpaper on his phone. It`s a mock photo set in a scene from the godfather where Rafa is the don in a tucks and Fungus is on bended knee kissing his ring, with monster looking on in the backround and the headline on the photo says”respect the don”.
It cheered me up no end so when he bluetoothed it to me i went to every manc i know a shoved it in his face.
I searched the net to post it up in here but i can`t find it.It`s a classic, you`ll love it guys.

Annoying thing about RTE coverageis after the equaliser the co commentator said it was down to a change by Fungus, and fair play to him. It was a bad back pass by a defender, how can Fungus POSSIBLY get praise for that.

Timmy I will dig up the link of the Godfather for you. Don Rafa… brilliant stuff. It’s like the trailer for the film but it’s all our lads, doing the Manc team in.
As for Porto’s team doing them a favour b scoring, just add it to the ever lengthening list of teams/games that the tramp keeps insisting is a wake up for the “best ever squad he has ever had,” but got to complacent because of the media hype.
They hate scousers but would be fucked without mr potato head.
They might win tonight. They might win the league and CL but believe me. The tide is turning. He knows it. Rafa said it today. I’m watching Arsenal, but, god forgive me, I keep having a sly look at their game…. David Moyes is not there spying for The Toffees. He’s getting to know the place and getting his instructions for when he takes over. The tramp is going back on the road with his White Lightning Cider, Jack Russell, Big Issue and sleeping bag before Rafa can really lay into him

Nah Timmy it’s on there. F the link. Go on youtube and tap in Rafa Benitez the godfather of Anfield. It’s well worth watching.
Funny. Funny. Funny. Just watched the tramp’s post match interview. I kid you not – he’s rotten drunk. The fucking aul alcho bastard. HA!
They have gone. I just hope Rafa keeps having his rants. How many teams and managers do they have to face before the end? Not sure. But I hope they all set about them like rabid dogs.
They remind me of classroom/alehouse bully’s that have been sussed out… go for them and they buckle.

Found it FS,its a brilliant video.Great work by the producer.
I love the Godfather films, thats was class.
Rafa`s press conference was funny. Its like he senses united are about to get tired in the final furlong while his red machine canters along waiting for there moment to pounce.
I have never seen him this relaxed. There`s a gleem in his eye like he has a crystal ball and he knows it`ll all work out for us.

The best team drew tonight!
Manure really do seem to be rattled. I thought that after the villa match that they would get over their ‘blip’ but they seem to be going from bad to worse.
Hope it continues until the end of the season and beyond.

Hopefully this sends out a clear message about attacking united and taking the game to them because you will get a result or at least have a better chance of obtaining one. FFS put me in the united team when the opposition play 11 behind the ball and those 11 virtually stand on the goal line, ill hold a cup of tea in my hand and knock the ball around.

Ohh and in terms of the theory if United go out than they will have full focus on the PL and fewer games to play theory: Fuck it i say, they will be shattered they have been knocked out and will flow onto the PL

It has been announced that British Summer Time will from now on be phased in. Instead of adding a whole hour in one go, five minutes will be added to Man Utd games where they need a late goal.

EX\xtract from the bbc website report
United gave away possession at will and displayed the sort of alarming defensive vulnerability that was first exposed in the home defeat against Liverpool.
Made me happy anyway!
MTMMC, seems like a strong starting XI. BTW, am I Torres in this formation?
