I feel like strangling my mate. He’s arsed about and dragged his feet all week, and this morning he rang to say he will/can go. So, I jumped on the net to start fixing up flights and hotels. I will kill him – the flights have more than doubled since we started to do this.

I had one sorted for £325 last week. The same flight is now more than double in price. They all are. So, that is that. I just can’t afford to do it now.

Gutted absolutely gutted.

I am on holidays with the wife and kids when the matches in Thailand are on and then should be back in Ireland for a wedding, if I can be arsed, when I get back from that.

So, basically, the league will be started before I have some time, which is not a given either.

It mightn’t seem too much, but that would have more or less covered my travel to London and then to Pattya from Bangkok and back. Pain in the arse when you look at it that way.

I should have just booked it the other week but I hoped me mate could make it. You’d have liked him. A good lad and red. I offered to pay his flight and hotels on me credit card. I do it for the lads quite often, but I’m not a saint. They pay me back.

It’s this recession mate. We are all feeling the pinch and quite a few of the lads are really suffering. Oh well, I’ve lived through far worse and all things pass. And I will let you know, asap.

KR, something that caught me eye in that Fowler interview. I was thinking about this the other day… did you see he was denying going to Tranmere. Well, I’ve been meaning to say this but forgot… With Barnsie and McAteer now being there, I think it would be good practice to start lending them some of our youngsters.

Can’t be arsed listing all the reasons why, but I think it would be a great move by the club – especially for youngsters like Nemeth and Pacheco who aren’t quite ready to step up to the first team but would surely benefit from regular football at a higher level than the ressies and being taught the Liverpool Way by a legend.

PS: never even had a pint. Walked me dog round there, had a look in, got off down by the river and give the dog a swim. Even the pub’s are feeling the pinch. There wasn’t a soul in there.

But, you’re right FS. I should just ignore him when he’s being this childish. Though it’s going to be quite tough trying to mentally screen out his comments. Some forums allow you to “ignore” posts made by certain people who just wind you up.

Speaking of Fowler, he shows why he’s still revered in Anfield as God, even when he’s Down Under in Queensland, while the traitorous MO is now regarded as a Dog of War. (Perhaps it’s no coincidence that God and Dog are spelled opposite to each other. )

FS, I couldn’t help think “fucking typical” when I saw that Agger had a back injury. The bloke is always bloody injured and it got on my nerves a bit considering how he was acting up about maybe leaving the club/getting a new contract.

Oh well, fuck it. Me dog’s been brought home. I’m taking him down the river for a walk, probably via the nearest alehouse. Poor bugger, he just heads straight there nowadays.
